A Doctor - oh please. Ive always thought it would be a miracle if this boy could spell his own surname. Goes to some study camp for a weeks & comes back like this! No doubt he will be become a Doctor successfully in the weird world of Neighbours

Yes... the same guy who doesnt work hard at school, has never got any outstanding grades is all of a sudden bright enough to become a Dr.

Perhaps I'll leave my job and become a astronaut or chief of a nuclear weapons disposal unit.

Would someone who had a mental illness be allowed to be a doctor.

He he.

Wasn't Boyd on an accelerated learning program? (Before he got a brain tumour/adopted a baby etc etc).

It is all a bit bizarre though, I guess they are trying to find a direction for the character.

Is it me though, or has his acting got worse since he got older? When you put him up against the guy who plays Dylan, you can really see a difference in acting.

yes, once they were considered cured i'm on my psychiatry rotation at the moment and we were just discussing this today (apparently, 1 in 100 med students will eventually develop some kind of mental disorder! i know it's not relevant - but just some trivia! )

by the way, didn't boyd skip a year or something, because he was too clever? i seem to remember him having trouble settling in, because he was considered to be a geek.

Wouldn't social worker be a better career for him - he's already got the relevant qualification - poking his nose in where its not wanted.

Sorry if anyone's a social worker who reads this

I always laugh at the stupidity of posters who don't know their facts right about the show. Boyd was a year higher in school then everyone else, he's always been a genuis. He went through a stage where he got lazy and wanted to work at the gym and stuff, but that could happen to anyone.

If you hadn't been ignorant enough to just assume these things, you would have known he's been like this for the last 4 years.

I agree teenage-monkey.

Boyd is far from Stupid. As mentioned he was a year above everyone else, adn is exceptionally clever.

I expect he became bored with being clever, and just thought he would tart around a bit.

I wish Boyd would get back with Sky.....

Maybe, but he acts quite dumb at times. The whole Kayla thing for instance...

Kayla really annoyed me for some reason.....

I wish Boyo Boyd would start making dinner dates with his dead mother again, it was the only time the character was of any interest.

I thought he was meant to be quite bright, he was moved up a year so he can't be that stupid. Anyway just cause he doesnt try hard doesnt mean hes thick.

I assumed he was joking, because it sounded like a 'spur of the moment' thing when they were talking about Karl and Izzy.

I thought it was made up on the spot to cover that fact...

i know lol!!! i pissed myself laughing..."yeah ofcourse i got my A Level in Chemisty...and now i want to chum up to Karl"! you never see him in class! i admit the boy needs some medicine/medication but doesn't need to study for it! its probably a phase like Karla, and that chunk of brain they knored out of him must of helped!

...and could someone please burn all his pink polo tops

What a total change of character eh? I don't think he would make a good doctor, and I wonder how long it will be before he changes his mind again, and again and again.

Didn't he try and get work experience in the media when he was a Geek? or was that oneof Harold's Foster sons?

I think it'd be a good direction for him to go in, coz they keep talking about uni on Neighbours, and Serena (who came to the show as a swat) has decided the university of life is for her.

Nope, not permanently. Apparently she'll be back for holidays like Christmas etc. though.

I can't imagine another doctor in Erinbrough hospital. I think it would spoil the illusion. The lovely Karl is multi-talented you see. He's a GP, a general doctor at the hospital, a surgeon, a midwife and so on.

Boyd will probably get a job as a barman or something.

Maybe Boyd can help relieve some of the pressure on Karl 'Single handedly running the OZ NHs' Kennedy?

I bet he qualifies as a doctor within 2 years on neighbours.

yes, he went to a single weekend training camp, and became the Ramsey Street resident sluth, being given amazing jobs like Hostage negotiatir and Lie detector opporator.

there was no sign of him having any supervision, he was just given a gun and a badge out the props cupboard.
