Panasonic DMR-ES10
When I use my Panasonic dvd recorder to record a program on dvd-ram, edit it and then copy the program to a dvd +r/-r using Nero 6 and try to replay it on the original dvd recorder an “Unsupported Format” message comes up.
I understand the dvd-ram disks record in a dvd-vr mode, but as the disk was originally created using the Panasonic DMR-ES10 recorder, I cant understand why it refuses to play the media back. Could anyone please help to shed some light on this |

Could anyone please help to shed some light on this If you still have a DVD_rtav then the disc is in VR mode which I think are not supported on DVD-R or +R discs. To play back from a DVD-R or +R I would think the format must comply to the DVD-Video specification. I have a Panasonic DMR-E95H and it will play back the VR mode format on DVD-RAM and DVD-RW discs. Even though DVD-RW are not listed as supported. I haven't tried it on DVD-R, DVD+R or DVD+RW discs but I wouldn't expect it to work on either the DVD-R or DVD+R discs. Hope that helps. |
