I love my early Sat night viewing, and by having the ITT show at 6.30pm I'm encouraged to leave the office early. But I just feel there's something missing on a Sunday!

So my suggestion would be for BBC to have a little dancing tutorial programme - ideally with our fave professionals (and perhaps the celebs?!) and even the judges showing their moves.

It would be interesting for them to cover basic steps, holds etc for the different dances - preferably the dances that will be featured on the following Sat night. And to suggest music that suits the dances, whether it be classical, pop, oldies etc.

I'm sure there are plenty of experienced dancers watching SCD that would not need this but for all the amateurs it would be interesting. And it might encourage more people to join dancing classes as they will have an idea what to expect - I'm sure some people are still nervous of joining dance classes in case it's above their abilities?

I have a feeling that they used to do something similar to this in the 1st or 2nd series? I think with Len and a professional couple? I think it was shown in a ballroom setting but perhaps it could be done in the studio - a bit like Len's current Masterclass!

That sounds good, but perhaps (and I didn't watch much of Series 1 or have digital back then), but they could od a show which captures all the backstage stuff, combined with a preview of next week's dances?

The only problem is that this takes stuff from the Monday and Tuesday editions of ITT. Also - who's going to work the Sunday (for a live show), or if they do prerecord then when do they do this? The tops idea would be if they just brought back Come Dancing so we can get our sequin fix!

It seems such a long time ago that the original Come Dancing was on - I used to love the sequence dancing and the huge skirts on the ballroom dancers... And as for the sequins lovingly sewn on my the mothers' of the dancers'!

It would be great to see the return of Come Dancing, even as a kid I used to love it. I always preferred the latin though, and there was one ballroom dance which I found very odd - I'm sure it was called the 'military' something or other. Those huge skirts used to bob up and down in a very peculiliar fashion.

Yes! Yes! I think it was called the 'Military two-step' .. and at one point during the dance the man used to actually salute his partner who curtsied ... my sister and I (little girls at the time) used to salute each other and then roll around on the floor hysterical with laughter every time this happened - and my mother used to threaten us that if we didn't stop laughing we'd have to go to bed and miss the rest of the programme!

Or they could get some professional ballroom and latin dancers to give demos, interviewing them beforehand so that we could get to know all about them. Really, we know nothing about the professionals, and I'd love to find out more.

All brill ideas, I always feel low on a Sunday & in need of a dancing fix, please put something on for us...

I've learnt that dance!! It gets danced in competitions sometimes! It is crazy but fun to do!

Yes your quite correct it was the Military Two Step, I can remember my grand ma getting me up to dance in our house and she taught me how to do that dance, I must have been about 6 or 7. I can imagine James Martin doing that to perfection, him being a tall chap, just don't much like the thoughts of his hair being gelled back.

Thanks Gojive for your support! I have some friends in media - I might see if they can push the idea to the 'powers-that-be'!

I must try and find a dancing school here (in Dublin) - I've been to salsa classes here but I would love to get back to my Modern and Latin American!

Don't put more dancing on on a Sunday! Much as I love SCD, I'd still have to watch Top Gear!

Unless they could combine the two!!
