At first i though it would be this week, but i now think there will be a group of people who will vote for them out of sympathy.

Hmmm....i thought that too at first but i figured that out of Andy, Brenda and Chico, Andy is the most likely to go the distance. Chico isn't quite popular enough (shame) and Brenda is a woman. These programs tend to go in the favour of guys....

i think brenda could be in the final 3. i think nicholas is good but he's not as good as he could be in 2 or 3 years time. Brenda is great. When you see her in the first audition and look at her now....she has an almighty talent!

But for me Brenda is like Maria - she just has something that I can't warm too - can't be specfic cos I don't know - just something is about as specific as it gets
I'd also like to see her do something other than the big shouty songs that she knows so well - eveyone else seems to have been taken out of their comfort zone (cliche alert ) but she is given the same type of songs week on week.

I think that Chico will stay at least another week, maybe longer.

The Conways are now definitely on borrowed time and that time is surely running out. Considering they have a career of sorts in Ireland, you really would have thought they'd have known the ropes. Their behaviour has been far from exemplary and it will certainly not help their future hopes of a lasting career. I think they have probably burnt their bridges, so to speak, within the music industry.

With regard to Chico, it's unfortunate that on DS the knockers enjoy doing just that. Still, that's their perogative if that is what they consider fun, plus of course there are other who genuinely can't abide him. Again, their choice. However, I don't think that that feeling in necessarily reflected by the general public at this time. It may be, once the more dodgy 'singers' have been dispensed of by the viewers, that Chico could be eliminated.

If he doesn't convince this Saturday, then okay this week may be the week, but I don't somehow think so.

simon has said on xtra factor that if he genuinely believes another act are better than his own he would send one of his own acts home (ie conways)
personally i would admire him for that and the honesty involved in doing so. lets hope conways are in bottom 2 again this week! (along with nicholas)

Exactly I cannot understand why people haven't worked out that its rigged they have been favouring these 3 since it started, Shayne has more than likely recorded the winners single already, load of bull the winners single will be recorded and released in 4 days

Just like with Pop Idol, they'll have to get all three (assuming there are three, given the 17th Dec end date) finalists to record the single as soon as the last three are known, or perhaps even do it a week earlier with four acts. The difference will be the song choices, which presumably will be different for each act. This represents a lot more work. For Pop Idol, they were able to use the same song, same arrangement, same video. They might not fancy doing all that, but if they try to make Andy and Journey South sing the same song, we may have a train wreck on our hands.

Even then, they still have the leadtimes for pressing the single to worry about. Surely they aren't going to press three lots of single are they? Or are they in fact going to release the winner as a download only in the first week, thus guaranteeing that it won't be number one after all? If so, they'd better let the bookies know or there will be chaos.

Will and Gareth didn't use the same video. Will made it the week after winning.

It mentions here that as soon as the winner is announced the CDs will go to press. So I would assume that at least the final two, if not three will have to record their single prior to the final.

Only because Simon thought Gareth was going to win, Gareths was ready to go, Wills was a last minute rush

It is funny that you should say that because I do like Brenda in terms of voice, performance and personality but I have not been moved to vote for her (yet!).
