Simon still taking no chances with Journey South. Fourth is the earliest that they have performed. Twice now.

If this list is accurate (I'm sure it is) then this could be the first week ever that the bottom two are not from the first four acts.

I beg to differ - but the way things are going, who can say?!

I agree. Their VT before they sing will pile on the sympathy for them as they have been quite unfairly, in my opinion, been vilified by the media this week.

I agree. With the Conway Sisters being in the bottom two for the first time last week, they are less likely to be in the bottom two this week (fans, including Irish vote, swing into action). I'm thinking Chico verses Nicholas and I'm not sure how Simon will go. He might even save Chico. Depends on how they do on the night.

If, however, we were voting to remove acts, they would lose (win) by a landslide.

Chico is singing an original song which I imagine will be released by Cowells own record company. I dont think he will vote Chico out yet if he is in the bottom two with Nicholas.

He lost two of his acts in the first two weeks. Obviously they have to then space it out accordingly.

Then Journey South should be performing before Conway Sisters this week.

I don't remember all of the positioniongs, but my guess is that they're desperate to get rid of the girls this time.

I don't get why the performance order is relevant as to who goes?? I supose your at a slight disadvantage if your the first act opening the show but otherwise I don't understand how it makes a difference.

Anyway I sure hope the conways leave this week but I think it'll be nicholas or chico, most likely chico

No I think the Conways will ge a bounce vote this week and be saved (damn them!!)

Bottom two for me will be Nicholas and Chico. Having said that we could all be in for a shock like last week.

Its not exactly relevant but every show so far in both series of X Factor has had the bottom two coming from the first four acts that have performed.

I just don't see people voting for The Conways after last week, and all the stories about them having prior ties with Walsh.

They're on first, they'll get so-so comments, and people won't vote for them. They've probably put Chico on last to make sure he's not in the bottom 2, so they can save whoever is down there with them. Probably Nicholas.

Three reasons:

1) People have short memories. Sounds weird, I know, but a lot of folks will vote for the last act they really liked, meaning earlier ones miss out.

2) Some people vote according to the 10 second playbacks that have the telephone number after the programme. How you are portrayed during that brief period is incredibly important. For some voters it's all they see. Folks come in from the pub and vote based on that 10 seconds.

3) As a general, but not absolute rule, judges comments get better as the show progresses. It's hard to say 'best performance of the night' to the act on first or second.' Judges influence is huge.

The simple fact is, over the years, in all of these shows, most of the time the people in any bottom 3 or bottom 2 have come from the early part of the show. Unless you're one of the main stars, or give a truly great performance, you will struggle in that position, until it gets to about the final 5 or 6.
