I have had my 'phone (Nokia 6230i) for a few weeks now and I am getting really fed up with it - not being able to connect to the PC suite software so that I can transfer my music files etc!!

I have only been successful the first time I tried it!! Beginner's luck I guess!

I have reinstalled the latest release of the software (6.6.18) My phone recognises that it is attached to the puter; I can see the MMC files stored on the "my computer" option, but when I try and connect, I click on the "get connected" button, I wait for the prompt to install the cables etc, I press "next" and then I just sit there and sit there and sit there!!!!

The wizard had recognised the new hardware installed, it had found the right drivers but nothing is happening now!! pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease help me!!
am I being a dork and doing something schtoooopid??

The cable is already plugged into the USB slot I am only making a fresh connection by plugging the DKU cable into the phone port.

I really can't be arsed to keep on crawling on the floor to remove the DKU cable from the 'puter!! but do I need to have to do this all the time

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!! I am fed up! I am bored listening to the SAME TWO TRACKS I MANAGED TO COPY OVER!!!

thank you in anticipation

(please don't tell me I have to fork out for a Bluetooth adaptor )

If you are connected via bluetooth you should be able to send files outside of the PC Suite. just send the files like you would to another phone.

also try downloading the demo of the oxygen phone manager, it's great.

I had this problem after I used my pc to trransfer pics to an NEC phone PCsuite broke.

I had to uninstall PCS, use the "nokia clean" tool that removes it from your registry and they installed it all again fresh and it worked.

Also, try going into device manager while using it and see if anything which has a red X next to it (this means that the driver/device isnt working properly and could be the root of the problem)

I've used usb and bluetooth and I have to say that USB is faster at transfering files.
