Ugh I cringed all the way through those scenes with Jason and Sarah tonight.

Otherwise not a bad episode. I liked the scenes with Sunita, Shelly and Dev, apart from Jimmi's appalling acting. I liked the scene with Tracy and Claire, and Tracy and Dev in the shop.

Sally, Sophie, Kevin and the twins and the cardboard trainers was good.

7/10

What a well weaved and written episode. Sarah Lou needs a slap but it was great stuff.

I'm not sure what happened but Frankie really came into her own into tonights episode and proved herself to work as a character outside of Danny and the rest of the Baldwins. The scene with the bed wetting was well done and this will now become an interesting dynamic.

I also loved the adhoc conversation between Claire and Tracy. Two totally and utterly different characters. Fab

Corrie continues to pull it together and the Dev/Sunita storyline even showed some punch despite initial reservations. The show manages to remain adult and find a good mixture and as usual the writing is always spot on, although Sarah Lou is a bit thick to be playing mind games but Gail wil put a stop to it soon.

My thoughts too. Tony Wood was excellent throughout 2004 and I think he can't cope without Carolyn Reynolds anymore. However, he's still managed to make Corrie work quite well this year but not half as succefull as last.

In connection with

Jamie & Frankie's affair
I could see that coming the moment they stepped onto the cobbles in summer of last year. Other soaps have done it, why not Corrie.

Anyway - to tonights episode.

Average really but still enjoyable.

The thin twin works without the larger one so am glad she's going and, hopefully, it won't be a moment too soon.

Love the Websters - Kevin dragging Sophie out of the car was funny. Really like Sophie since her head transplant - much better actress

Liked tonights episode much more than Mondays crap. The Websters continue to provide the best scenes (When did they get so good?).

Average episode tonight.

The whole cardboard shoe thing was a waste of script in my opinion. Jessie and Joanne are two horrendous characters who really need to go.

I'm confused though - when exactly was this conversation between Tracey and Clare? I didn't see it!
What did they say to eachother?

Outside the garage.

Judging by tonights conversation between the pair and their snidy looks to each other, I'm quite looking forward to their spats next week

Not sure. Perhaps it's a Corrie fan who hate Sarah

Who would have thought that the stange £5 trainers would be faulty

Poor Dev. Sunita is going to abort their childen at a very late stage ( Can she do that?) just to annoy him.

Sunita spurns her chance to be an instant Granny

Sunita was the star of the show Really sad that she's leaving

Will be glad to see the back of DEV-ID Essex though He's nearly as bad an actor as Kate Ford - and that's saying something.

Thought the story about the cardboard shoes was just crap to be honest But I agree that young Rawsee is developing into a fine young actress (she is the youngest one isn't she??).

Overall then 6.5 out of 10. Sally and Kev were good but they were given a rubbish and dull storyline

The trainers storyline was a waste of time, Sophie is worthy of much better than that. Only highlights tonight were David and Phil and Clare and Tracy's "conversation".

I thought it was boring tonight. I actually walked off to do some jobs, which is unheard of during corrie.

I wish someone would axe Sarah

Corrie is a pathetic soap now. Really bad episode with the fake rain at the start ,then it was bright sunshine and night at the end.

I wish I didnt have to watch Corrie but the other half insists. To think this used to be my favourite soap.

Are Shobna and Jimmi friends of yours, RK? I noticed everyone else gets called by their character name, but not Sunita and Dev.

I find it really odd that Sarah and Jason have no chemistry, as they are together in real life. I think the 'seductive' scenes are awful, almost as bad her her mum and Phil but I can see why they are taking the character in that direction (well, where else is there to go, they've tried everything else!).

Loved Sally and Kevin and their 'good cop bad cop'. They'll never be able to keep that up though!

I really like the idea of Carol coming to live with Frankie, think it will provide some good scenes (although I can't stand Carol, and Jamie is a plank).

The scene with Tracey and Claire was good, but I find Claire's character very odd. One minute she is the serious feisty one, the next they are dressing her up like a five year old and making her seem silly. Sorry but would a woman her age wear that stupid fur bonnet? (although she did look very funny in it )

I know calling Sarah 'Donk' has a history on another thread (and I know the reasons why) but I am I the only one who finds it rather nasty?.

And surely there is no way any doctor would allow Sunita to abort her babies at that stage, I don't know why she has bothered to say it.

BBT, I would be glad to see the back of Devid Essex as well, but unfortunately he isn't going.

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that - but really, what does Ashley see in Claire, and isnt he embaressed by her outfits and dodgy glasses ? I mean, Maxine was a fashion junky. It just seems odd that his tastes have changed sooo much.

Well, they could axe her! I'd rather see Sarah axed than Sunita. I think there's much more potential for Sunita as a character rather than Sarah, who has had so much happen to her in a short space of time that there's really nowhere left for her to go. Her transformation into a supposedly "sex kitten" has come out of the blue and isn't at all realistic or believeable. It's cringeworthy to watch and comes across like she's had a complete personality transplant! She never used to be this bad!

I don't know what is worse- Seductive Gail or Seductive Sarah! *shudders*

I also agree that it's odd how they have no chemistry together. You'd think they'd at least have a little bit seeing as they are an item in real life I suppose it just shows though how unbelieveable and unrealistic the characters are together!

I agree I'd rather Sunita stayed than Sarah, and I did initially think the sex kitten stuff was a bit of a character transplant, but I now think it's a quite cunning character development. I think someonelse mentioned that both Audrey and Gail had been goers in their young days (especially Audrey) so Sarah is just following tradition! She has always been very selfish, and that is now manifesting itself in her manipulation of Jason. But I agree it is horrible to watch!

What I do find annoying about the character is that she takes no responsibility for Bethany, she behaves as if she hasn't even got a child. Again part of her selfishness.

Lozzie I am not sure that spoiler is quite right - what I heard was

Spoiler
that Jamie starts to find Frankie very attractive ... but we don't know that she allows it to develop into anything

That always happens in soaps, though. Rosie and Sophie Webster spent their formative years upstairs washing their hands so their parents were free to pursue their storylines.

Yes, I agree that Sarah's personality change is obvious when you think about Gail and Audrey and how it seems that she is just following in their footsteps, although I personally think that the change would be a lot more realistic and "natural" if she was to leave the street for a few months and then come back as a "sex kitten" or whatever. The way things have actually happened though, it's like she went to bed one person and then woke up as another! Of course, she has always been incredibly selfish, manipulative and tarty, but now she seems to be 500% more so!

I also agree about the lack of responsibility she shows towards her daughter. I think the only time she has acted remotely like a responsible mother was when she was living with Todd (even despite Bethany being electrocuted and nearly being thrown off a church! )- when they split up though and she moved back home, she went back to fobbing poor Bethany off on Gail, Audrey, David, and anyone who will have her! She's not exactly a good role model for young single mums! I think it comes across that it's easy being a teenage mother but, of course, it isn't. I'd much rather see Sarah struggling to cope with being a mum than the cringeworthy stuff we're having to put up with at the moment!

i hate the scenes with sarah and jason almost a much as i hate the scenes with gail and phil - they're disgusting! sarah is completely unsexy and her and jason have -30 chemistry, which seems strange as you'd think theyd have loads of chemistry coz of going out in real life. david was good but then again he always is, and so was sophie - the websters are really good now, im sure they didnt used to be this good. dev is doing my head in recently i hated him anyway so was disappointed when i heard that he was staying and sunita was going as it should have been the other way round really.
