If you have been a regular reader of the Channel 4 Big Brother news-section it cannot have failed to escape your notice that they have been anything other than proactive as far as Jonny has been concerned and anything but proactive with other housemates, who often receive nothing short of cold-to-lukewarm pieces.

This seems to have changed over the past two days with more negative comments being brought into to the edits, possibly since Jonny gave late night E4 viewers a closer look at his true personality which can no longer go unnoticed; and more than possibly his fowl mouthed rant that he aimed at one of the Big Brother producers who happened to be on ‘watch’ on that particular evening, who dared to remind him that influencing votes was not such a good idea.

The attitude that Big Brother have on their once Golden-Boy might just be changing with some of the following comments on their news-pages:

“Jonny is certainly not all he seems to be.
.
.
“However, what is not immediately apparent is the way Jonny somehow manages to arrange things so he comes out on top.”

Quite possibly Channel 4 are now going to change their stance on Jonny and encourage more support for both Kate and Alex, detecting that his “common man” popularity has started to wane..

There is clearly some method to Jonny’s madness and the fact that he has been “acting” his way to the money will not be lost on the public as the end-show gets even closer.

Lets also not forget in one of today’s tabloids the following was said about Jonny:

“Jonny began to reveal his TRUE YOB COLOURS [my emphasis]. Woe betide the former residents … if they’ve been talking about the sunken-faced Geordie..

“I tell you. If there’s anybody gone out and made something up about me in here, I’ll kick the f*** out of the c***s. I’ve kept my gob shut in here for too long.”

This also ties in with the other posts about his “violent temper” when he offered the following comments:

“I’m a very bad tempered person outside, very bad tempered, and I said I was outspoken, and I always say what I think”

“I was warned of everybody before I came here, don’t lose ya rag, don’t open ya mouth and fly off on one.. cos I’ve got a ****ing terrible temper.

“I tells ya what, anyone wants te mess with me, I’ll fly off on one.. I will”

“Its like Joanne says, calm down or you’ll have an heart attack early.”

“I was told, don’t lose your rag, don’t do this, don’t do that..”

“If you go (PJ) I’VE LOST my ally, who can go between Jade and the others, and if you go (Kate) I’VE LOST me little playmate”

Not quite the man we’d like to win Big Brother, regardless of what some might suggest, surely?

Jonny is 100% all act and I for one can't wait to see his 'act' when Kate/Alex/Jade wins the 70k

Yet another Jonny bashing thread started by Elysium. Selectively using 'tabloid' quotes to discredit the guy. How about the tabloid stuff about PJ allegedly beating up a female. How about starting a vendetta against him.
Even if the 'tabloid' stuff is accurate (unlikely), what is it saying? Its saying Jonny has a bad temper, well if that is the case then I admire him for keeping it in check, perhaps its done him good.
I hope you dont believe everything you read in the sun/mirror/sport, if so you'll have a particularly warped view on the world!

The problem is he has the support of some important public figures. The other is not so many people happen to spend the time we do watching the program. If you go by the light version in CH4, Jonny is a happy chappy. The influence of forums like this is minimal.

PJ's just a gimp with short shins and will be booted out on Friday, I look forward to seeing "Mr Loverman" walk out that front door

Trolling again, Elysium.

Why dont you just post to one "I hate jonny" thread, rather than starting one up every few days.

Which important public figures?
I've only heard Alison promote him. Most of the celebs seem to go for Alex.

I don't know about others, but my views are mainly based on what I have seen in the program and believe me if I tell you I spend/waste an awful lot of hours in it. I am certain that the views a lot of people have about Jonny are biased by the sympathetic edits in CH4.

Chris Moyles among others. I wouldn't rank Alison as an important public figure anyway.

There was that pic of him with Tony Blair. Maybe that's where Jonny got his 'All style and no content' T-shirt. Except in Jonny's case it's 'No style and no content.'

Sorry Elysium, but can you source these quotes, obviously youve got an extensive collection. I can imagine your bedroom (assuming you live with your parents), with defaced pictures of Jonny all over the walls, E4 on all day, with everything Jonny does or says recorded and then misinterpreted intentionally on here.
Admittedly im spending increasing amounts of time myself defending him on here from your attacks but someone has to do it. Funnily enough I actually want Kate to win, but there is simply no evidence that Jonny is the violent thug you have attempted to portray him as!

I have the same problem as you dismissing Elisyum as a obsessed fanatic anti-jonny campaigner, but the more I have been following the program, the more I can see that some of his arguments can be true, perhaps not as drastic as he puts it but still there is an element of truth to what he says.

I am sure I heard Jonny say a lot of those things late one night during one of his chats with fellow housemates.

Oh come on Bob, I would be the last one to suggest that Jonny is violent. I’d much rather he did that himself, which he has on numerous occasions; and as for his Yob/thug mentality, you only need to listen to the way he would “kick the f*** out of the c***s” for simply not agreeing with his point of view.. certainly not the type of behavior you would associate with a fireman?

I think you’ll also find that both the tabloids and the public picked up on his ‘change’ at roughly the same time, largely due to the late night E4 rant... and in the words of Channel 4’s own news-snippets: “Jonny is certainly not all he seems to be.”

Champion him as much as you like.. but do so for the right reasons and not because you like a little rough-and-tumble..

Yes a lot of people, can vouch that some of the comments were made on the night Kate found out about Jade's actions. The threads for the night in question are a good source of contemporaneous quotes.

Elysium, who I don't always respect because he has slagged off other members, is speaking the truth.

The quotes are from his conversation with PJ and Kate the other night. The only correction is he used "Kate is my idiot" if I can remember accurately.

Bob, there is no need to worry yourself too much as Jonny, short of Endemol deciding to show his more vitriolic side, will walk it and win the show quite convincingly for reasons that many of us have outlined previously.. He is typifies the kind of person casual BB viewers will quite readily plumb for, largely because they know no better.. which is no fault of their own. You’ll be having the last laugh, if there is such a thing.. so don’t worry too much.

I think anybody who has been watching E4 these last few night must admit Jonny is not what everyone thought him to be. Ive never liked him but have never disliked him until now. He comes accross as just not a nice person, I really believe it has been an act and the mask(s) are now slipping however he has already reeled in the public. Perhaps being a pro BB contestant is the way to win no matter what your personality is.

You remember correctly. It was idiot.

As for the other quotes, they are from the early morning rant, plus there are some that are not there, like the ones refering to Sandy.

There is certainly a lot of truth in that.. and it’s the one thing that would prove the most difficult to regulate against. The contestants who enter such shows know that your life changes *dramatically* only when you actually go on to win the show; this is when the prize is the greatest. Its not necessarily the £70.000 .. that does not enter into the equation.. its what happens afterwards, the improved offers and media work.. winning has become all important and the so called “BB experience” is secondary.

This is the first time that the house has had the so called “professional-housemate” that we know to be Jonny. Its not the fact that he has a game plan, but its more to do with the underhand way that he is going about executing it.. that involves a great deal of “public manipulation” .. the housemates are there to be stabbed in their proverbial backs, but not the general public. Its like some of the other “reality-TV/fly-on-the-wall” programmes that Channel 4 have produced .. only for the public to later find that many of the scenes have been “re-created/staged” and that Channel 4 have then been regulated against. The public *believe* what they see on-screen without hesitation.. and Jonny is pretending to be “real” but is anything but .. and therefore if this perception is untrue then Channel 4 can be accused of “staging” ..

If you remember Craig from BB1 .. I would not dispute for a moment that he was a genuine chap and deserving of the money.. but how much sympathy do you think he got from his family parading the poor down-syndrome girl out in the open when it looked like Craig might be evicted from the house? This *immediately* clicked with the public that he was the only right person to have the money for the good he would do. The thing was that after he came out and won the show it turned out the girl was going to get the NHS treatment they had been ‘suggesting’ she would not be getting anyway.. and the money was clear profit for Craig. His life changed to the tune of millionaire status (coming from his own-lips) on the space of “public-sympathy” .. I do so hope that we don’t go down this road again thinking that a jovial little man like Jonny is some heir apparent to the throne .. If this is the case and he gets away with it, then possibly new guidelines need to brought in to how far contestants can manipulate the public yet again.
