New 9200T issue - powering the TV on and off Now not working!

Ok my previous Freeveiw boxs and the Humax used to activate the TV as soon as you switched them on and then turn the TV off when you turn off the freeview box.

However now it's stopped working I had to do a few power cycles and defualt settings recently to try and recover lost recordings and now this feature does not work at all.

Interestingly it now changes between 4:3 and 16:9 depending on the programs format which is a nice bonus feature unfortunately it sometiems takes a few minutes for the format change to take effect, which is anouying!

So does anyone know how I can get my box to turn the TV on and off like it did before I've checked all the connections nothing seems to be loose?

Cheers

Long shot: Does pressing the [source] button on the 9200 remote (probably a couple of times) kick it into life?

Hmmm sounds like a possibility especially since my 19month old son likes to run off with the remote! I'll let you know , I'll get my wife to try it out, if not I'll try when I get home.

More likely is the Scart lead has worked a bit loose. Make sure that both ends are fully home in their sockets.

A plague on the French for designing such a poor connector !!!

Already checked that there is no way they could have become unseated though. My wife tried the source button and nothing changed (although it set it to 16:9) so I'll try it again when I get home.

OK sorted this now, it is NOTHING to do with the 9200 so it's not at fault in this case!

Basically I have 3 devices pluged intoa JVC scart switcher, around the time when I had been doing power cycles and default settings I had also been watching a DVD (one of the devices on the scart spliter) and as the DVD player had been left in standby it was controlling the TV via the scart... turning it off fixed the issue altogether!
