Thats if there is to be a BB next year,
As we know C4 own the rights to the show until 2004, but there are very strong rumours that the big cheifs at C4 are intending on not doing it again and allowing the contract to run out, its belived Channel 5 are the ones who are interested in taking over the contract.
More will be known after BB3 as ended

The big difference with Survivor is that you only get to the public vote at the very end, and even then it is only relevant if the contectants' vote is a tie.
As Adele's eviction has shown, with BB the audience is very powerful and can be quite contrary to the HMs' views.

So, with Survivor you can get away with fooling all of the people all of the time. In BB there's nowhere to run to and nowhere to hide!
So, BB is fundamentally different to Survivor and frankly looking at C4's current parlous financial status, if they can get away with £70k, there's no reason to increase it.

Yep, thats right, Channel 4 are going to sacrifice the money they paid out for the Big Brother licence, the money they get in with advertising during Big Brother, the ratings that they get, rating which outstrip everything else on the channel and the money they rake in from the various moneyspinning opportunities.
