Virgin Lobster 485
I have just ordered a Virgin Lobster 485 mobile phone and this will be my first camera phone.
Can someone please advise me and point me in the right direction of what I require to get to transfer any pictures taken on the phone to my pc? I would be grateful for any advice you can give. |

Hmm, not sure if the Lobster comes with a data cable - is one available on ebay?
Worst case scenario, you could MMS the pictures to your PC's email address - although you will have to pay each time. |

Thanks for your reply.
My knowledge was so basic that even the data cable you mention was unknown to me. I assume this is what would do the job I want to do assuming I can source one? |

I bought a Lobster a month ago but ended up getting a refund after a week. The phone was great, it must be the smallest mobile around, but the reception wasn't great and that caused problems sending picture messages. It would say "Sending..." for ages and then fail, sometimes I'd try ten times before it managed to send a picture. Problems was that is the only way of getting pictures out, it has no USB output or anything, sending picture messages or emailing pictures is the only way to get photos out!
I spoke to Virgin that said their network has a limit when sending and after that it cuts you off and I guess the poor reception meant that I'd rarely manage to complete before they ended the call. Maybe my phone just had a poor signal (tried it in many locations) or maybe Virgin have upped their limit. Otherwise, good luck. |

Thanks for your reply.
I am still waiting on delivery to arrive so will try sending some pictures when it does come. Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I can have better luck with mine. |
