Unwanted Balance message
I have a Nokia 5110 on the O2 network. It recently started displaying the balance left on my account after every call made or received, or sending a text. I never asked for it, and can find no way of getting rid of it appearing every time I use the phone in any of the Menu settings. Is it something to do with the phone or is it something else O2 have given me without asking? Any suggestions for getting rid of this annoyance will be appreciated. Thanks.

I am fed up with this well
Not only is the balance displayed. It gives a tex alert tone for this. Which I hate. But you request a balance there is no tex alert tone. But it is the same network message.

Changed network
That's what I did I changed to Virgin Mobile because o2 were sending me the alert after evry calls and txts so anoying plus they could'nt even get the WAP and MMS settings to work (Motorola V3 silver) even when I tryed a different phone (Nokia 6600). O2 are useless. Brind back BTCellent much better service. Stupid forgein takeovers

![]() Anyway, I've found that whenever I've contacted O2 about getting rid of these messages they tell me that they had removed them but I still got them randomly, which was even more annoying. Don't think there is a way to be 100% rid of them. |

Apart from keeping your balance above £3
, try giving them a call and asking them if they can disable low balance alerts. Not sure if they will, but its worth a try.

Don't think there is a way to be 100% rid of them. I contacted them asking to remove them, they emailed back ages later saying they will try to remove them but it does not always work. So i emailed back saying if they are not completly gone in 24 hours to sent me a PAC code and i was going....... Got a email straight back saying they were off.... They were! Then a few days later they were having 'network problems' for hours so i got a PAC and left anyway. I was cut off for more than 24 hours when moving on to o2.......... Shall not be going back anytime soon! |

GREAT NEWS
I emailed O2 this afternoon and I've just had an email back saying they have removed the notification from my phone. That's good service. Thanks O2
