I really don't understand the scoring either, if Zoe made a very obvious mistake, how can she get a 10? Colin didn't make a mistake, danced really well and had lovely routine = 8?
Can anyone explain?

Shocking scoring, yet again, but all in all a good show, just need to press mute when Bruce waffles on

I'd salsa with James any day, I thought he looked great (never noticed his dancing though...............
)Very odd night tonight, think it's cos there were so many different dances being done...... Odd scores from the judges as well Ah well, roll on 9.10pm *goes back to pressing redial for Bill and James* |

I've got a screenshot of the end of the salsa, if anyone's interested, although it's been shrunk down to tiny sizes.

Yikes! It looks like the show won't be going to Blackpool this year! LINK That's awful if it's true, I've always loved that ballroom and it looks great as a TV event.

A 10?!?! What?! This, this is just obvious favouritism, I don't like it, at all. And is it me, or is Colin getting more and more arrogant? Wasn't happy with Darren and Lilia's scores, they shouldn't have had 7s, their Jive was really good!

http://photobucket.com/albums/d20/allyballybee88/?sc=1 They all did a fantastic job on the salsa - best thing on SCD ever for me - I don't think it was fair to single anyone out and there was nothing wrong with James OR Will's raunchy moves! (or of course Bill but he can do no wrong in my world ) How pleased I was that Bill did the salsa after all. When I saw him up the front with Karen I thought 'omg this will be a disaster, better have another vodka' but they were brill

I think if I was Colin and saw Zoe consistantly getting overmarked (this week more than ever), I would be thinking "yeah I'm gonna get that 10!" Go Colin!

It is very difficult in Ballroom for the male celebs as they have to lead as such that fact alone he should have been marked higher than Zoe and his hold and body contact was far better Zoe very overmarked and Darren and Colin undermarked - if it continues will stop me watching really annoys me

i am sooo confused too! Will and Hanna did not deserve 6's!! I also thought lilia and darren should've been top, they really captured the spirit of the dance!
I did really enjoy the group salsa, but to be honest, james looked like he was lacking the effort, and was very flat! sorry

Zoe's good but every week she's being corrected as she dances by her partner, and yet she gets nothing but praise. I agree, Colin's achievement so far is quite a bit better, yet the judges seem to be rather cool.

I wonder if it is because Arlene, Bruno and perhaps Craig do not have enough experience in judging this type of dancing so their scores are less consistent than Lens. I'm sure Bendymixer can tell us if Arlene, Bruno and Craig are qualified as Ballroom judges. After all some of the pros are judges themselves so shouldn't they deserve to be judged by someone at least as proficient as they are if this is 'serious serious serious' as Arlene bangs on. I'd like it if the panel would consistently, and as objectively as possible in this type of sport, judge the merit of the dancing and let us get on with the important work of deciding how much we loved it

Listening to Heidi on FIve Live. She said Colin was Zoe were the best tonight. Can't disagree. She predicted James to go and the winner would be either Zoe or Colin.

Sorry missed a couple of words from post. Should have read Heidi CRUISE, a dancing teacher, who claims to know some of the dancers.
