Appreciate your disappointment Maddie - the public are not the experts on the technical aspects and vote for goodness knows what reason!

It's all a bit of fun for Saturday night to raise money for CIN and everyone will be out eventually except the winner so just about all of us will have to face hearing Tess utter their favourites names sooner or later....

(except those who love Zoe and Ian perhaps )

Please don't forget that this is ENTERTAINMENT

Exactly, people vote for the celebs they find entertaining. And they really don't care about the technicalities.

Poor Will. He so did not deserve to leave tonight. People please can we vote for the dancers that perform well and not those we fancy or find a laugh!

Performing isn't just about the steps though. We don't all enjoy the same thing in performance. I haven't enjoyed Will's performances half as much as I've enjoyed Bill's. It's not just about the offstage persona, it's also about the dancing. Sorry if that offends Will fans - but I haven't got in the slightest bit excited about any of his dances.

I agree about the entertainment factor and that it is possible to take this too seriously, but... things get a bit daft when the actual dancing ceases to matter; I have my favourites too, but I'm not going to vote for them unconditionally.

I totally agree with you.

Does anyone else get frustrated with the camerawork? It has calmed a little but it is annoying not to be able to see the dancers. Tilted angles and swirling views of the tops of the dancers' heads and the glitterball in a very short dance routine is a real waste.
I thought they outdid themselves in the group salsa, which looked great- what we could see of it.
I do wish the director would let us see the whole routine- the whole dancer for the whole time....and no backs of heads;fingertips;feet or close ups at all- I like to choose what I want to see.

Dont worry my favourites weren't in the bottom two - I am getting this upset about two couples who are neither here or there to me but should never have been the bottom two

Thanks for the reminder that this is just about entertainment - on that basis bring back Fiona and have her dancing with Chris Parker <that was irony by the way>

In actual dance terms Zoe and Colin are the best but I wouldn't vote for them as they have very little appeal to me over and above their dancing.

There has to be a 'sum of the parts' in any reality show. Darren Gough is my overall favourite based on a combination of his attitude, his new-found dancing skills and his personality.

I haven't actually voted for him yet as I've not felt he's needed my votes - though there will come a time when I will start voting for him!

It's all good fun - or it is until people start making silly posts calling people idiots or saying they're not fit to vote for a Government....................

Each to their own, if folk feel so strongly they should vote for who they want to win!

I really want to cry. Poor boy.”

Well thank you so much. I just love being called an idiot, as I suspect do others. Are you different and not a person? I'm curious as to where your draw the line at "people" in your sweeping statement.

Gawd, dont watch it if you feel like that. Nobody forces you to.

But please dont insult me or others. This is Entertainment, not a ruddy ballroom competition. I'll support my favourites despite their less than perfect skills.

I'm sorry I offended you. I was upset and said something I didn't really mean. I retract my statement.

(You aren't being sarastic, are you, though? I've been caught out with this before...)

Knew you were just letting off steam, xades! I know we agree to disagree - you cant stand Bill and I don't plan on having Antons babies anytime soon but respect your point of view

No, no sarcasm. Thank you for being kind enough to accept my apology, I'm actually genuinely miserable that I've upset people.

Yes i agree its for entertainment and charity,
but the judges are there to give marks and look for improvement.. why bother with this , if obviously its all down to the public in the end and which celebrity is the most fancible, who whose profile in celebrity status is higher?
most of the dancers in this series, are taking the teaching and the judges comments in.. but why bother.? if really it doesn't have any bearing on the end results..
why not just have the public vote.. cut out the critisism, and out and out adoration, of a couple when then they make mistakes ,, and give em a 10 for being perect? ( as in dictonary" perfect, correct, precise, excellent.")

You can't have Anton's babies! They're mine, all mine!

Thanks for being so kind

Aww...don't cry! As I said, we all say things we don't mean, and it's hard to keep our emotions in check when it comes to out favourite celebs and SCD in general. When Aled went out last time, I called the Julian fans every name under the sun in my mind. In fact, I just screamed at my roommate for calling me during the results, and I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm crazy now.

I think it was the same director for Anton's Saturday Night Fever dance - we kept getting shots of the audience for gawds sake.
Doesn't he think its entertaining enough then?
