Length of the highlights show..
does anyone else think it should be on for at least 45 minutes a night? At moment it's only on for probably less than 25 mins what with the ad break and it finishes before 10.30( (i'm not that much of an anorak to have timed it precisely) But as there's an avid BB audience alongside complaints of poor editing (I know you won't be able to fit *everything* in but an extra 15-20 mins would help) should they give us more each night? Discuss...

Couldnt agree more. However a mate of mine managed to cram the whole of BB3 so far into one little movie:

Definitely.
I only have Channel 4, so I have to rely on this board to get all the extra bits. The way that they just left the Alex and Kate chat, and Jonny fuming over the word tolerate, as a simple foot note, made me feel cheated. I'd enjoy an hour long show, and they could put Graham Norton forward to 11.00pm. |

It should be a minimum of 30 mins but definitely up to an hour. On the days when things really kick-off they need at least an hour to paint the picture. It would help the producers and avoid some of the 'it's fixed' accusations brought about by excluding so much of what happens or only telling half a story.

I'd like to see the C4 prog on for at least an hour. At least then, they could possibly cover more of the most interesting things to happen in the day. The 30 min slot just isn't enough.

If the show was any longer, they wouldn't be able to be so biased in their editing, so I dont think it will happen. Look at last nights show, it was a disgrace!!
It showed Alex, "he might like me I tolerate him" "leave me alone" when Jade walked out and showing him talking about the places he's been. Firstly to make him look bitchy and two faced, then to make it look as tho he was very well off financially.None of the funny things Alex has been doing, Alex has been hilarious all week, none of which has been shown on CH4! Now..onto Jonny....shown making Dinner, being compassionate(with Jade) offering counselling, having a laugh(kate in the pool), airing his views regards how bad todays music is with swearing, violence and the like.(very PC) Jonny has been loudmouthed and has done a lot of distasteful things this week, again none of this appeared on CH4! Now...onto Jade.....again re alex saying leave me alone, then showing her bringing chair into bathroom(sympathy vote), then her trying to get into conversation with Kate and Alex in bath(sympathy vote), then going to bed early(sympathy vote), crying her eyes out to jonny(sympathy vote), PJ saying she's finished in here while she cries in room(sympathy vote). As I've said before, the editing on CH4 is a disgrace, they have decided Alex is the moaner, Jonny is the loveable working class comedian and they'd have us believe that Jade has just been misundertood, she didn't meean it...poor soul!!(I actually did feel sorry for her, I know playing right into the hands of CH4 LOL) Do CH4 not realise, that despite what they would have us believe, we have seen what the HM's are really like on E4. They are taking us for complete idiots!! The sad thing is millions watch the CH4 show and believe what Ch4 are portraying!! If it hadn't been the fact, I've wasted 7 weeks watching, I'd switch off, I can guarantee tho, I for one wont be watching next year!! |

perhaps they think that by keeping the programme short they will entice people to get E4, I would have thought that they might get % or some sort of deal.

Seem to remeber Dermot saying something like having to fill the 23 minutes of the program...
Time seems right. |

If you go back to BB1 the producers extened the show to cover Nasty Nick being uncovered, and changeing the schedules so there is no reason why they couldn't do it this year!

This is the most important line of this thread. The BB franchise as a whole in fact doesn't cover up very much at all, but you will find some of the juicier aspects feature only on BBLB, E4 live or the web site. So on the main C4 show they're not hiding anything, merely failing to mention it. The fact is that C4 want you to part with money to consume BB, be it in the form of an E4 subscription or text alerts or live audio from the house (how useless @ 25p/min). They'd rather you didn't watch the highlights and instead get tucked into the "premium content". Alternatively in the form of the web site they want you to park your eyeballs over there for a while in the hope you may just catch a glimpse of the odd banner ad or two.Solution? If you don't mind paying, get the premium content. Or visit DS - which I'm sure has helped thousands of C4-only viewers to get a fuller picture of events. Quote:

Well I can guarantee that you will! Seriously. Fiver to your favourite charity if not.
