Thats a great description. I wonder how many of them will get their legs tangle together doing that.
Roll on practice tapes on ITT. I think we are in for a few laughs

I cannot WAIT to see the couples tackle this dance!

Isn't this the dance that's in one of the links the BBC use into their programmes? I was actually wondering what the dance was (it was used at the beginning of the main part of the SCD show tonight).

At least there's mainly the professional dancers doing the flicky leg thing, being as there's more male celebrities.
The leg thing looks as if their leg has got itself a mind of its own!

I thought the 2nd couples to demonstrate were rubbish! The first 1s were... ok... but if they are World Class Professioanls I am Lilia's long lost daughter and I have 3 sons of my own called Mary, Nancy and Frieda.

I don't

I like eye contact. It's how real people dance when they are actually dancing together for real, as opposed to this ballroom nonsense when they gaze over each others' shoulders into space.

Oh don't! Unless they are going to be famous Your surname should match their first names, otherwise it becomes a joke

As a group, as far as I know. But I'm sure they will be spotlighted as couples.

It looked like a rubbish and boring dancing to me. I'm glad that the couples don't have to do it individually.

I thought that it was quite stunning. But that was mainly because I was transfixed by the girl in couple number one's hair. It was amazing...

I thought it was kinda odd but good at the same time. I didn't like the second couple at all they just bored me. It does look very like the clip the BBC uses before programmes, that must be what that dance is. I wonder can the celebs pull it off!

How do you think the AT will work as a group dance?

I love the Argentinian Tango much more than the ballroom one. I believe (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) that it developed as a result of crowded dancespace not allowing the movement of the 'normal' tango and so couples had to dance within a very limited space, hence the twistly leg thing.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the training for this though. It could be funnier than the salsa!

no the Argentinian Tango is the original tango and came about because now this is how the story goes honest argentinian cowboys and their bent posture after being on a horse all day honest!!!

it is a fantastic dance and I think celebs will enjoy it no formal hold bent and leaning in its much easier to teach ad for it to look well

I'm really looking forward to it as I love the drama of it. The salsa on Saturday night was fantastic and had such a cool vibe to I'm hoping the AT will be smouldering

I really loved it to and did a bit of reading about it. I would much rather learn this one. It looks very sexy and the looking intensely in each other's eyes is so great. I liked how it wasn't a travelling dance round the floor and all the leg action. I would've thought that Patsy might have an affinity for this with her so-called great legs?

Well done for ~SCD for bringing this dance into the fold
