Hi, Don't want to disturb you but I had one for about 48hrs before I returned it to Orange. To be honest the phone is not bad for the price (£59). However I never got mine running. According to the the chap at the orange shop, they have had a lot retuned, due to problems. (of course he failed to mention this when he sold it to me)
The 1.3 pixel camera is good, the software to link it to your PC is poor and not user friendly at all. Although it can be used as an MP3 player, don't expect too much from it. The big bright screen is fantastic. As for the polyphonic ringtones; they too are great, you can actually hear them unlike on some new handsets. As a phone for calls and text, I think it would be a nice handset. I actually chose it because of 3 things: 1) Price 2) Slide form rather than flip or candy bar style 3) The handset is quite unique unlike some handsets on PAYG. Not many Kids will choose it. Assuming it is a gift for xmas and assuming it is on PAYG Orange, register the phone and get it activated to make sure it works and is fine. (I would do this for any PAYG Orange handset if buying it this early as a xmas gift) If it is on PAYG you won't lose out financially. Also if there is a problem you can return it like I did under the 14 day return policy. Note that if you wait till after christmas you won't be able to use the 14 day return. Another tip is don't give orange any PAC numbers to trnasfer your existing mobile number until you are totally satisfied that the handset works and it is something you are not going to return under the 14 day return. (I made this mistake and almost lost my current number) It is something you can do yourself by phoning Orange on 0800 3762285 for free. I personally switched the phone for the Samsung Z107 which is only £49 on the orange website. I can't comment on it yet as it is due for delivery on Monday. Hope this helps. Hope this helps. They had to update the firmware in these phones so if you buy a new one now everything will work on it. I bought one last week. They're pretty good apart from the ariel - but you can buy a short ariel for it on ebay which makes the phone look much better. |

I've just bought a Sanyo S750i because I was told it would be a good phone to watch downloaded video on - but it doesn't seem to be able to play any of the video or even be able to save the files I've paid for. I've tried to download epsiode previews of Lost and Hollyoaks but they won't work. Don't know why?

really has been worth the money for me
im using it on payg too so been a bargin - the phone has not had any probs - camera pics are gr8 - crystal clear in my case - and ive been impressed with the large text message memory have had up to 130 msgs in my inbox without it asking to delete any as yet! calls wise no probs - the handsfree is ok but ive been using the one i got with my moto e1 roker which fits perfectly and also have a larger memory card and been downloading video and mp3 with no probs id say its worth a punt - it has had a few probs but i guess for the price i was willing to take the risk and the gamble paid off - but do take the advice of other posts too as the model has i beleive had it probs! one other good thing i liked to was the screen size - pda like!!

![]() You can't use it for Orange TV, that's for sure. I never really got mine working but I assume that it plays 3GP format videos and not MP4 or MPEG. All in all at this price I still maintain that it is a unique handset and a breath of fresh air. I think future offerings from Sanyo may well heat up the budget mobile phone market. |
