His stream of laddish, sexist, base comments, and treatment of Jade would on the face of it be far more deserving of criticism. The best word I can think of is 'snobbery', a distain of the working classes, without any regard for the environment in which they were moulded. Just because Jonny smokes, swears a bit, and likes to be on the telly certainly doesnt make him any less of a person than say Alex. LK who started the day so well on hot water and lemon... and has ended up drinking red wine .... well its good for the heart !

My dad was an extra in Memphis Belle (through his work in the RAF, the basically wanted people local to the area who had full dress uniform), my dad wasn't an actor. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't think that anybody says that everything he does is an act. That's just exaggerating what has been said. That would be impossible. Not everthing he does is an act. But his whole approach to projecting a general personality type is an act. He picks his moments by grabbing opportunities to use the acting. You can actually see him using these advantages and manouvering the situation to his benefit. I've seen him in certain "fun" situations where there is absolutely no joy or humour in his face. Much of the time he ISN'T acting. This is where there is a personality switch, where he is hardly animated at all and just watches people. When the time is right he's suddenly bounding all over the place in a split second. I just think his eyes give him away completely. Everyone whos ever been on BB is a wanabee, they give us a few weeks of entertainment does it matter about their motives? I like Jonny and I would be happy to see him win, but I predict Kate to win. |

A_different_Bob;
I don't think that a lot of the criticisms are that unfair, there's been much,much worse things said about other housemates. I only say what I say because his negative aspects are much more apparent to me than some of the others. It's true what you say in as much as we can only judge their personalities on what we get to see on screeen. Some of us though, believe that he may not be as ordinary as he is making out to us on screen. homer911: quote: in response to you i have not said " well at least he does'nt whine like alex" or "at least he is'nt two faced like adele". and i am not a johnny fan i just feel the countless threads about him are getting out of hand. are you telling me that because he has appeared in a charity event on cilla black that he is desperate for fame. that is a weak argument in my book. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wasn't actually accusing you personally of saying those things, I was simply saying the type of defences that I have heard from pro-Jonny people. Not necessarily from you yourself. I don't really think that the threads are getting out of hand. As long as it doesn't turn into personal insults we should have a lot of fun argueing. As for Jonny, well as he's so popular I don't think it's going to do him much harm, and I think he's fair game. About the Cilla appearance. Well I don't know much about that, so I haven't got much to comment on regarding that. But the more of these little tv appearances that we become aware of, don't do him many favours in some of our eyes. It makes a strong arguement, not weak, for the case that he's a wannabe of an extreme nature. |

I wouldn't consider what I posted that deep.
Just observations of what is in front of me on screen. Does it matter about their motives, you ask. Well it depends on what you want the eventual winner to be like. For me it's not so much his motives, but it's more his methods matched with his motives. I'm not keen on the winner being a liar. And I suspect that Jonny is a BS artist. I don't know, it's confusing this year, because I'm not sure we'll get the ideal winner this time around. I like Kate quite a lot as well now. |

She is putting here extensive acting experience to great effect. Second to Alison she comes closest to being the real pro contestant. She will win: maybe then we will find out what she was scared the press would find (and result in her being pulled from the show before it started). |

Do a headline,never mind the facts. So what,if he did do it.every famous person on this planet,was year's doing all sorts befor they made it. look at Alex.all the stuff in the people newspaper about his porn work in Germany. PJ on the villa Tim On the Villa, Kate on Boys Mags. Jade advert's.So get your facts straight, leave the headlins to the Sun. |

from what i undestand from your point if a lawyer defends a murdererer then this is a refection on the lawyer and his character. all i am doing is defending the guy. it does'nt not mean i like him or dislike him. if the argument was good then it would not bother me. but some arguments that develop are untrue. |

Your bed has been made.. this is a tv show not a bloody psychological assement of my self. and plus how do you know that i am not a lawyer and just defending johnny because of the stick hes getting. for all you know i might actually hate johnny. don't make assumptions about people you don't even know. |
