Series Link
I've currently got a Thomson PVR and am experiencing instability problems, my partner is so frustrated she want to ditch the Thomson and go for Sky+. I'm reluctant to do this as I love Freeview PVR and don't want to start paying for Sky. The key feature she wants is the Sky+ series link. Can the Toppy do this? if not, is it something that can be written in a TAP or is it a limitation of Freeview EPG?

JAG's EPG TAP can search for programmes whose title matches a pattern you specify and automatically record them. You can restrict it by channel, day of the week (including a handy "weekdays only" option), and time period. A bit more hands-on than a Series Link, then, but almost as good.
For it to work well you need to ensure that JAG's has as much EPG data as possible, which can be a problem with the Freeview EPG. So there's a scan feature in the TAP that makes it grab as much EPG data as it can find overnight. |

As stated above Jags EPG TAP can do this.
It is also possible to do this without TAps. This will only work however if the program is the same time every week. Simply press record twice (and Rt will be displayed) |
