EMMERDALE: Val is so funny.
Watching the Emmerdale omnibus - I have made Val my favourite character in soap. Comical with physco Steph and with Diane. This is why i love Emmerdale.
Does anyone else like Val?

no. She's like a panto character, she can't act to save her life and her supposedly funny one liners fall flat. She's an embarrasment.

She is the funniest character in the soap. With Steph last week she was the best.

I think Val is really funny (especially when she was getting her community service sorted out) and so is Cilla in corrie.
Yeah they are like Panto characters but thats what makes it funny! |

I don't think so at all. She's wondeful; the way she's written and the actresses' involvement gells really well. Her court scenes made me laugh and I think overall she's a real asset to the show.

I think Val is as funny as toothache. She is nothing but a cartoon character with no depth, at least Steph has depth to her.
Charlie Hardwick overacts in every scene like she knows the camera is watching her. I feel sorry for Liz Estensen |

I watched some of the omnibus and I really like Val and Steph. I think Val is really funny but she a bit ott like a panto character but I still thought she was good. Steph is interesting, is she crazy evil or misunderstood?Maybe all of them.Anyway, wasn't she plotting to kill her Dad at some point ages ago, how come he's forgiven her and didn't she have to jail?

She did go in jail after admitting to Shelly's 'Murder' than she came back at her memorial service. Shelly gave Turner a decision - her or Steph, Alan forgived..

I love Val. Her court scenes this week were great, she had no idea that she was making a fool of herself while everyone else cringed! In fact she really believed that she could talk herself out of any sentence.
She also made me laugh when she was with the community service guy and wanted to go to a top fashion house in Milan, and her face when she found out she would be removing labels from fake designer gear in Hotten!

Val is what Steph used to be when she first arrived in the village. She lies, she schemes and involves herself with Rodney then Eric, what Steph did.
Give it a year and Val will be the new psycho, although Lorraine plays it so much better. Val and Steph are cut from the same cloth, they would be good as friends |

The best court scene ever! And that line when she was told she'd be taking labels off clothes - "It's not cutting edge technology" "That's exactly what it is" came the reply

I love her to bits, joint favourite character with Steph.
Of course she gets some great scripts, but I think she plays it so well too. Brilliant comic timing... |

I've been watching Emmerdale for about a year now, and I really liked Charity in the beginning, but once she left, Val emerged as my favourite. She's a bit like Marmite - you either love or loathe these kind of characters. For me, I prefer most females over male characters.

She is very like marmite... most people hate that and most of me hates Val!
LOL Although I think her and Steph should have more to do together. |

I hate her, I hate her, I hate her! I hate her now more than ever, stood in the court room going on about how her dad beat her? Well it didn't have a lasting enough impression on her for her to stop it happening to her own son
! She wants kicking in the t*ts that one!
