Hi Star.

Actually, we are just painting up an 'Ian Investigates' corner.

Not sure what is going to happen there!

Up again at 4.30am..and only had two hours sleep last night so I must go...

And I must take my own advice too!

Great advice.
Will follow if can.
Can't wait for tomorrow - because will get another email and ITT should be good - with Anton! mmmmm

Good evening, ladies! What do we have scheduled for tonight? I hear we've got an aromatherapy room, which sounds great- I don't suppose Darren B is supposed to drop by there any time tonight? Seeing him on ITT has reawoken all my happy Darren feelings of old.

Sorry to be unfluflfly but I am beginning to think that I should start all my posts on certain places on here with..'I am only joking...please do not take me seriously...' or with 'I hate so and so, and you lot are all crap if you like *insert name here*' or..'This forum is fun so I must write a disparaging post to put you all off and bring everyone down.'

Sorry....just am a bit fed up.

May not be about much until Sunday as cricket tomorrow then off to see Gordon Ramsey on Friday/Saturday...so keep the aromatherapy room stocked, the marshmellows flowing and finish painting the 'Ian investigates' corner.

I'll be back soon ...if I haven't been banned for this post.

Don't get too down...I too have been going into various threads and getting a bit miserable at the general states of peoples' attitudes. No matter what happens, there's always tension. If people say to be nice, someone will react that they like debate and argument. All the "Supporters" thread seem to be littered with "We Hate" posts. Everyone's barriers are so raised that the slightest comment or joke ends up being reacted to badly because no-one knows who's joking and who's not. It's becoming really quite unpleasant, and every time I find a nice thread I keep waiting for the moment that it all goes wrong.

I might take a little forum break for a while too, or at least just stick to the threads I know tend to stay neutral (i.e: the ITT thread, the Fashion thread and this one).

*braces herself against the backlash of people who will probably say she has offended their opinion, insulted their intelligence, can't write coherent, logic thoughts and is generally wrong*

On a cheerier note, it sounds like you have a fun week ahead of you, Boho...have a great time!

Ally and Boho - don't leave my my darlings

Seriously - stick to this thread, the fashion one (because I am the Queen and ruler of that one ) and the Anton thread We've managed to keep most stuff out of them.

I'm reasonably thick-skinned about it all but it does hurt when people seem to be condescending to those of us that like a bit of a light-hearted laugh. It's supposed to be fun, and I don't like being patronised. I've enough things in life to be serious about and love coming in here to ogle men, talk about custard and rear elephants. I can have a serious debate as well as the next one, and am not a pink airhead - it's about trying to see the fun and positives and as far as I can tell - you can only call something a good debate, if it doesn't resort to petty and inconsequential point scoring at the expense of others. If someone likes someone/something, you should be able to convince others of that fact by their virtues alone (not by pointing how much worse other people are).

Phew.

You know it's because this is a lovely thread that I feel able to say all of that without fear of reprisals. That is what maintaining a lovely atmosphere is about.

I refuse to be budged off and will continue to spread randomness and opinion with equal measure.

I need a drink... oh wait, one just appeared in my hand! A nice Kir mmm-mmm

Viva la randomness!

It is true that this is a very lovely thread indeed- people may see it as airheaded and disgustingly sweet, but I like that: it acts as a good foil to all the unpleasantness tHat might occur outside of it.

Everyone who posts here is, without fail, kind and friendly, and I'm glad (and a little surprised, I must admit) that it's stayed this way for so long. I suppose the name acts as a real warning . We will not tolerate anti-fluffy behaviour around these parts.

Would really love a drink at the moment, but have no money...

To reiterate a commonly-stated phrase: you're all lovely! This may be a little sad, but I really consider you all to be my friends. Except that none of my Real World friends like SCD (freaks!)...

*hugs*

Envelops everyone in the biggest warmest pink sparkly blankets she can find, brings everyone hot chocolate and marshmallows and gets tiny to tap dance for entertainment.

There thats better, everyone have fun that what this is for, and I have no ill feeling for anyone (well cept arlene but lets not go there) In fact I am in soft fluffy mad about Ian dom at the moment, so shouldnt that be "The Investigate Ian corner" ahem

Remember to give us Scots the lowdown on Anton and Patsy and steer well clear of me if Ian turns up too!!! its ok choccy sauce on my waite studmuffin will sort me out.

It's a pain when you miss your favourites- I was hopping mad last week cos I missed Bill...

I've warned everyone over on the ITT thread that we Scots are expecting detailed commentaries, full outfit descriptions and maybe some screenshots from the lovely mindhorn.

Am still waiting for an email back from the Beeb r.e: my question...

Lemsip, anyone? Not the fluffiest of drinks, but I'm loving it at the moment for the effect it's having on my cold.

What's your question ally - is it about getting an ITT repeat for the Scots? I wish I could share my bottle of wine (I'm not a drunken lush I promise) with you So have a Kir on me in this thread.

I'm also amazed that this thread has stayed as it has. Honest, it has truly taken on a feel of a true sanctuary. Perhaps people all read it and those who throw up decide not to post. It's an excellent sieve for random people isn't it.

Can I say that we must keep referring to this as the bewitching hour as I alwasy see about 5-10 peeps here at this time and we undo all the daytime damage. It is so comforting and very much like meeting your mates for a gossip and a laugh of an evening. My new friends *hugs*

My qustion is a response to the reply to my earlier question (ack, that makes no sense). I originally asked about repeats of ITT and was pawned off with something about phonelines being open. I then replied, saying what many others had, which was basically that many other shows have "Phonelines Now Closed" banners on repeats of these kinds of shows, and would that not be a possible solution. It was 9 days since I sent it, so I dunno...

This thread really is remarkably unsoiled, isn't it? And you're right: it's always the same small band of late-night regulars who seem to inhabit this place; the "bewitching hour" indeed! I like that phrase...

I know I say this almost every post, but you really are all lovely! It's a rare thing these days, so it bears repeating!

Ooh thats better, look Ian and his chest beckoning me to the investigation corner. Bit deep in Itt thread, gave up ans came for some fluffyness in the bewitching hour. You know I keep coming on for half an hour and staying for ages, its so nice in here.

Whats nice about here is its so friendly and cos we have aliases there's no shyness, just fun and warmth, and we can hide our wanton lust behind our screen personas What are they going to think of us lot on their panel, hee hee. Right Ian am just coming........... must have Ian on the brain.
happyfeet
24-11-2005
Ah well on the panel we'll be the ambassadors for all so will come of as witty loveable dance fans (but the forums will know the truth )

Have a Kir on me Peach - have you tried one before? For those days when you only have white wine to hadn, drop some cassis in and drink away

It's going to be strange to see you all on the panel and actually be able to put faces to the names. Luckily for me, I will still be able to hide behind a cloud of mystery, and continue to imply that I am a willowy blonde supermodel, when in fact quite the opposite is true. The power of the alias!

I just wanted to echo what you were all saying about this thread, it is one of my favourites (though I don't post in it much, I do like to read it), that and the Anton one because it's like a hideaway from all the negativity. It's non judegmental and a bit of light hearted fun, and on any forum that's a godsend. So keep up the good work and don't let the miserable people get you down.

Night night - I'm going to hit the sack tonight - but not very hard as I'm not a violent person.

My dream of choice this evening involves Vincent Cassel, Damian Lewis and Brendan Cole all vying for my attention. I will concentrate hard enough and hopefully it will seep into my subconscious - or perhaps all this Kir has blurred my capacity for this.

Oh well here's to hoping.

Sweet dreams to all See you next bewitching hour xxx

oooh m'Lady,

If you pick up a few treats to restock us, that'd be fab. I'll leave the choice up to you but I do believe there is a Dunkin' Donuts stall exclusive to Harrods - perhaps a few from there?
