Oh, happyfeet, keep your pecker up, love! Exams suck (I should know: these are my first set at Uni, and I'm petrified) but you'll get through them fine, I'm sure. How many million PMs have you had, then?

I'm still here, of course! The bewitching hour be my fave time, so it is...is anyone else still kicking about?

I'm here *emerges from huge group hug*

Awww you guys.
So many 'real world' people are counting on me to pass, and I honestly don't care for myself about failing and retaking in the summer, I don't feel any shame on it, it just means I'm not quite ready yet to be a doctor- it's just i can't bear the looks of disappointment on all their faces. Anyway, I can only try my best, be true to myself and let fate decide.

Allybee, I've only had about 12-14 peopls PM me so far. Isn't that crazy? I guess of all the hundreds of peeps on here, most people have lives and can't drop everything on a Saturday night - we shall see anyway.

I should tell the BBC team to reward me handsomely for legwork for the researchers - I dunno, perhaps a behind the scenes type thing at the Final - I don't ask for much do I?

I love it at this time. The forums are so great at this tim of the day more than any other, because only the most random hardcore people are on and you get to have a bit of a chat

That's a surprisingly low number...having said that, I fall into the same boat. Normally, I'd jump at the opportunity, but this week is just about the only week I can't make it. Stupid demanding family...

You should totally ask for a behind-the-scenes pass! Don't ask, don't get, right?

People seem to be more pleasant at this time of night- I suppose all the normal people have gone to bed, whilst we "hardcore people" as you put it so amusingly, remain here till the small hours, debating things in a civilised manner and having much random fun. Probably because we're all delerious from the lack of sleep, but it still makes for a good time- it's like being amongst friends!

Will definately go to bed soon. I mean it this time.

Night all! See you tomorrow (aka: SCD-eve!)

Morning, ladies...whoops, sorry, that should be afternoon! So..does anyone else have snow??? I do- I got such a shock when I saw it this morning! I have a fear of daylight, so I keep my curtains closed until I'm slightly more awake, and when I opened them I was soooo shocked! Of course, I own no practical footwear, so I had to choose between having dry feet and being able to walk. I looked a right fool, sliding my way along Princes St, taking tiny baby steps...

So, how's everyone? Feeling perky today? Did anyone see Will and Hanna on with Bill this morning?

*snuggles down with her hot chocolate and whiped cream*

I'll have a hot choc and some cream too thanks.
Afternoon!
Am just sending the last email to the Beeb now.
We have a grand total of 12 people. Will see what they can do with that.

I don't have snow I think they do in my home city of Sheffield, but I'm in Cambridge so have nothing

Anyway - better go make myself lunch and get some more work done before Neighbours. Only one more day before SCD

Hi Ally

I'm not a million miles away from you so, yes, I have lots and lots of snow - which I absolutely hate having fallen on ice some years ago and was not able to walk for 5 months.

Anyway, I'm in for the day now so am going to make a lovely pot of spicy thai sweet potato soup - and of course you are all welcome to some.

I am really going to try hard to make at least one of the late night sessions - I usually end up falling asleep with my daugther and waking up at around 3 am after you have all gone to bed.

hello, yes snow lots of snow. Libby my sweet, Princes St????!!!! Iwas on the bus there this morning you should have waved!!!!!

I was shocked by the snow too cos the local paper had said it was by passing us. None when I opened the curtains, an hour later a white flurry world, and even better all the lights were on in town and the tree lit up and the german market set up.

Im so so exited about going to London/Cambridge, they are going to put me up in a hotel!!!!!! I did put my big mouth in it tho when we were talking about the forum and she said there were lots of Ian fans, I said I was probably the biggest, arrgh, next time engage brain and think about it.

Also on Princes St (did you see it Libby) there was a big sign saying Edinburgh Sparkles this christmas, and I had the widest grin imagining Anton and co all twirling about in front of the sign for our Christmas entertainment.

Ooh is there a mulled wine corner here I'm freezing!!

Startwirler - that's fantastic news. Enjoy yourself. When are you going? Will you be around at witching hour tonight.

I'm not actually in Edinburgh itself - but not very far away, so I haven't seen Princes St. My beloved works there, though.

The German Market is fab - can't wait to see it again. Anton and Co would make a fab addition to the Hogmanay celebrations - and if they got cold we could cuddle them and feed them mulled wine.

Enjoy your trip - and tell us all about it when you get back.

Guys, I've decided not to do it. I've spent all day on the phone with the lasy, giving names and telling her about my room in Cambridge in case they want to use it. Finally she said they'd decided on an undisclosed location in London, as opposed to Cambridge and I said yeah - great pick me up and I'll do it. Then she asked me for a friend or family member to call her and confirm that I am who I sam I am for legal reasons. So I called my little sister and we chatted about it and she made me sense that if I go and waste half a day in London, I'll regret for the rest of my life if I fail my exams, and that Medicine will affect the rest of my life whereas this is just a fantastic bit of fun. She didn't put it as harshly as that because she is a darling of a person and the best sister a girl could have but I think she made me see sense a bit. I'm now feeling very sad and it was an incredibly tough decision to make so I called the BBC back and left a message on her answer-machine apologising for wasting her time and letting her down at the last minute. I feel awful. I was so looking forward to it.

Please everyone that does go on, make the most of it for those of us who can't and try to get some of our phrases in It might make up for not being there, and I'll probably get in on Monday evening feeling bad about screwing up my first exam so I'll need cheering up.

I wish the ITT production team would take pity on me and invite me to the Final after my exams, but I felt too shy to ask them that on the phone after dropping them in at such late notice.

I do remember her saying they had someone from Edinburgh, Essex and Durham (so I think, that's startwirler, someone else, and Peach), Now there's a spot available for someone else to enjoy!

Sorry for long post xx

My my my what a horrible day I've had...so was oooober pleased to race home to indulge in my favourite pasttime of board lurking...first off, big hug to Happy (even tho I'm a relative newbie SCD board scribbler) coz after all your efforts, i see you can't go to the ball...but you'll be there in spirit I'm sure so chin up and big hug. And have also read a very scathing attack today on another thread on poor ol Kaplinsky...not that I'm a huge fan myself but I can't believe how much nastiness there is about - so here's a big thumbs up for this sanctuary...long may it continue.x
