Ah Tom and Jerry. The memories. Slapstick violence is where it's at. The kids must be indoctrinated young. I used to love the show where Rolf Harris would draw the cartoons in between the cartoons

FRom the way it's going in there I think you might have been better getting the servants to wheel out the multi-barrelled crossbow, from among the family heirlooms.

Ah the happy memories of childhood.”

What do you mean happy memories of childhood I watch at least 4 hours of boomerang every week, wiley coyote is may fav, followed by old droopy cartoons, followed by scooby doo (not the ones with scrappy in though).

I used to have all the Tom & Jerry cartoons, loads of Warner's finest & "A Man Called Flintstone", all on tape; but had to give them to my step-son.

I'm still trying to find a copy of Pinky & the Brain's World Domination Workout Video, for PAL, rather than NTS.

Night m'lady... tired much? I've a busy day ahead tomorrw as I'm going down to London by barouche box, it is the season after all and one must be all for keeping up appearances during the Season.. ahem... anyway...

My little brother's name shortens to Droopy and we used to call him that when he was ickle, it was always made us laugh when he tried to do impressions, he grew out of the name though - in adolescence for some reason boys don't like being called Droopy, I dunno why.

I love Wiley, I used to despair of how dumb he was but now I just feel really sorry for him, he's one of life's triers and the Road Runner is so smug that I'd help Wiley trap him if I could.

NEver really took to Scooby Doo, the stories & jokes were all a bit too much alike, from cartoon to cartoon for my liking.

I was not so much a cartton fan as other forms of animation. Loved bagpuss Named my daughter after someone on that-and she also loves bagpuss-again its pink and fluffy.
Also loved Mr Benn. Amazing how when he took is hat of all his clothes fell off.
Also the Clangers- when I watch the vidoes of that with the kids Im sure that they were swearing!

Woz going to bed!!

Will get the servants to pull it onto the battlements in readiness for tomorrow, Sir Glenp especially if the Gorgeous Chops and the Dainty One get through. What fun! Will sharpen the Boz Sword of Justice in readiment for the joust.

The Lady Boz

Ratchet!! Give Cedric, my white charger, a hose down in the morning, he smells like satan's bum!!

Oh god yes. I totally forgot it's Saturday tomorrow and the implications for James fans...*sighs*

I might have to saddle up and help you out there Lady, but in SCD land, I'm a wonderful fencer (with swords, and picket fences too )... so perhaps I could don the white outfit and wait the courtyard to duel each and every oncomer?

Can't for the life of me; being all inocent & all figure out why he should have a problem with Droopy.

They did actually make a special Road Runer cartoon in which they allowed Wiley Coyote to catch him. Unfortunately for him, his successful plan backfired & shrunk him to about an inch tall. It finished with him holding up a sign reading, "Well, for all these years you've wanted me to catch it. What am I supposed to do now?".

Oh my goodness!!! I didn't know that... wish i could see it. Actually (and I know we shouldn't read into things so much), but what a fantastic illustration of a major life principle - we're all always chasing the wrong thing, and often times, it's the chase we enjoy - take it away and you don't want what you always thought you did.

Yeah I'm a multitasker: custard, elephants, dancing, mediating (unsuccessfully) and analysing the life-lessons that animation can teach us.

I must get some sleep... waxing on about the meaning of life is usually a sign I'm tired

M'lady happy, you will be most welcome. I am away to the wardrobe and find you the softest chainmail I can. Fear not, m'lady we have the trusty Sir Glenp and all other FP's who stand up and be counted.

I quite like the number...5

When I'm tired I start with all the old jokes we used to tell in the CP tent, after 3 days on radio stag. None of them were funny & we'd heard them all so many times before, but we'd still laugh. Strange, really.

heeheehee... I've got some mithril chainmail stashed, so it's all good, but if I could borrow one of the standards from your armoury just so that others know my allegiance.

I have to say, that I'm liking the number... 3
but five has a nice ring to it too.

Most go to bed as looking after 12 junior and 4 senior dancers tomorrow ( Panto) if things get a little rough here tomorrow I could always bring the Giant from the panto with me ( he is not nearly as bad as Jack makes out-just doesnt like people invading his space by climbing up bean stalks)

Goodnight all
