The best laughs I have... I'm with my three best friends - 3 of the most wonderful people I will ever have the grace and good fortune to meet and literally, someone will laugh, and then we'll all laugh at the laughing, and that sparks more laughing. There's no joke, it's just self-perpetuating laughter... pure joy. I miss them all Am seeing one of them tomorrow in London though

EDIT: night Georgi... have a "OH NO THEY DIDN'T" and "HE'S BEHIND YOU" from me :P Have a fab day xx

Was just about to say same.
Am shattered, can't believe I stayed up so late! I only got 2 hours sleep last night and had a four hour exam today... I should've been in bed hours ago... ach well...

Plenty of time for relative lie-ins for a while now.
Am off to Londinium so won't be back here till Sunday night - and we know how fab the random threads can be on a Sun night

Sleepydreams to all xx

Morning all...attempting to pass some time and control all my nervous energy in something marginally more productive than panicking.

Are we all familiar with the workings of Sod's Law? Cos I had a brush with it last night: the one night that I have an exam at 9am is the day that the fire alarm goes off at 2am and I have to drag my butt out of bed and stand in a freezing courtyard in just my pyjamas and a coat for a full 45 minutes. I am going to find whoever set the bloody thing off and beat them round the head with a stick until it falls off...I knew this would happen though! I actually thought just before I went to sleep "You know, I'll bet the alarm goes off tonight..."

Anyway, attempting to wake myself up at the moment with peppermint tea and the window wide open. Gotta head off into the dark morning in 15 or so...argh!

Ally,

Sorry to have missed you earlier. Best of luck with the exams today, I have every confidence you'll so yourself more than proud.

Until it's over, here's a bundle of pink fluffly clouds, to hide in & calm your nerves, until the stress passes.

Greetings, you lovely good-luck vibers!

I have returned...and, as usual, I have no idea how it went. I wrote something for each question, so hopefully I'll get at least some marks. Now I fully intend to spend this evening worshipping the gods of junk-food and martini (and SCD, of course!), before cracking on with revision for The-Really-Hard-Subject-I-Totally-Don't-Get (aka: Family Law) as of tomorrow!

Only less than 6 hours till SCD!!!!!!!!

Welcome back Ally. So is that 1 down, 2 to go?

That sounds like a good evening you have planned for youself, I think you deserve the night off with your feet up.

How long do you have to wait for your results? (oh, that sounds like someone who's just gone to a clinic with a horrible disease)

Happyfeet - great that you're finished and still in one piece. Hope you enjoy your weekend in London.

Ally - one down, two to go. I'm sure you'll be fine - it sounds like you've done all you can.

Chucklebunny - welcome to our Mad World

I, unfortunately am going to miss the show tonight - I thought I was safe, but have been summoned to extremely dysfunctional family occasion. It's the family that's dysfunctional, not the occasion, by the way. It will be quite stressful for all sorts of reasons that I won't bore you with and I would honestly much rather be in the peace of my own home with my lovely husband and daughter.

I was just thinking that we might have to make this place extra cosy and welcoming tonight. If the result doesn't go the way most people think it should (I hope you get where I am coming from) then there could be a fair bit of backlash on the board. I've a feeling I'll be in here most of the night, coward that I am.

Libby, sorry you are going to miss the show.
allybee88
10-12-2005
I'm staying here at the moment anyway...I get what you mean, Shadow. To be honest, there's been backlash every week, and I doubt this'll be the exception. I can smell it in the air, and the show hasn't even started!

Indeed, one down, two to go. Unfortunately today was the easy one- my "fake" subject, if you will (as in, it's not actually part of my degree, it just counts for credits). The next two are going to be tougher...eek.

Sorry 'bout the show, Libs, but you'll be taping it, I assume...?
libby3107
10-12-2005
Yes, I'll tape it. It won't be quite as emotionally wearing as it has been the last two weeks when Patsy and Anton were on the knife edge but I so don't want either Darren and Lilia or Zoe and Ian to leave.

There's another Zoe bashing thread started up this afternoon

I feel the same way, although to be honest, last week was no big deal for me: after Bill left, I didn't really have any emotional investment in any of the couples. Having said that, I do want Darren and Lilia to get through, but after that I don't really care.

Have been out to buy some lovely rose wine for the show tonight...mmm. Feel free to help yourself: it's chilling in the fridge.

Yum. Enjoy the rose - you could make some nice Bonjour cocktails with that if you wanted to

No Bonjours...but I do have some cranberry juice and half a bottle of martini that I intend to have a few Winklemans from.

God, I sound like such an alcoholic! Wine, martini...you must all think I never stop drinking!

I should never drink at lunchtime, but couldn't resist having a pint of beer so am feeling quite sluggish now.

Never mind, it’s the weekend. And Ally you deserve a drink. Libby, don’t go falling asleep at your family do this evening (unless that would be a good thing).

I’ll be cracking open a bottle of wine soon (so you’re not the only ones). Got the evening all planned, bath, sort out the junk food, open wine, watch SCD, chat on here, watch results, chat on here. First Saturday I have had to myself in a while, I'm going to enjoy it.

Well, I got the bottle of cava, to celebrate the new job & I'm not certain about opening, before the results show. Sort if feels like it'd be in bad taste.

Best bump the thread up as we might need it later.

Go on Glen, open it. I have finished my first bottle (although in my defence there was only a glass and a half left in it) and thank godness I live 5 doors down from an offie, I have got another to see me through the night on here.

You need to celebrate the new job tonight rather than tomorrow because you don't want to turn up on Monday feeling groggy. How are you feeling about the new job, excited/nervous?
