Hi,

yes the lure of the forum is hard to resist, and I am feeling much better and have decided that letting a few dafties spoil my fun is very very stupid, so here I am to patrol on custard duties and make sure all rules about fluffiness are being adhered to.

Good luck today Allybee, hope it goes ok.

Ive been to Aberdeen but only to go to the dentist, hmm yes long way to go to the dentist, my mums cousin is a dentist and he did some work on my teeth for me, so I had to go up there for it to be done.

Cant wait for the final, right wheres that cushion think I may perch for a while

Shadow please dont give up on the velvet snug thread, its a brilliant idea, and as I have learned myself, we shouldnt let the silly minority get to us. We have just as much right to be here and discuss a programme we love as we see fit, and to keep in touch and have a special thread so we can do this.
Lets keep going and enjoy the fun we have started, I am tired of running and all the other daftness I want to enjoy the daftness in here and the new friends I have made.
So lets keep celebrating all that is SCD and bring on the Velvet Snug.

Star, I'm glad you came back to the forum. And thanks for your post above ^. You're right, we should enjoy ourselves on here. I'm going to put my toys back in my pram now.

Bonjour all!

I'm just going to crawl into the corner with a cushion an curl up in the foetal position, sobbing quietly, if that's okay...

Glad to see you're back, Star!

God, the seagulls! They give me nightmares...many a sandwich has been lost to those bloody birds.

I will admit some parts of Aberdeen are quite attractive: the Marschal College in particular is lovely, along with quite a lot of the older buildings. But then there are some real eyesores...St Nicholas House, anyone?

Hey Ally. Are you feeling a bit overwhelmed with the whole exam thing, or is it just relief that another one is out of the way.

As Star has already settled you down, I'll just chuck one of the forum's hugs yourway.

Forget the slippers, but could you fetch me a bottle of brain bleach, please? I want to forget all about it...oh wait, actually I have my own stuff here... *fetches rest of rose wine/acid from Saturday*

The first question was okay, the last one was pretty good, but the middle one (worth 40%)...not good. I repeat, NOT GOOD. Basically I answered it totally wrong, missed the point completely, and then had to listen to Tasha, my Law buddy/ generally swotty mate, complaining about how she "only" managed to cover 9 of the ten ital cases in that question...

But never mind. The drink will make it all better. And then it's off to work for the next, and final, one...

Ally - it may well not have been as bad as you think. If you did well in the other two questions, you don't need to have done particularly well in the third to pass.

I've often come out of exams thinking "why didn't I say that" and thinking I could never pass, but I did.............

I'm probably worrying over nothing...I usually feel bad about exams after I've done them. Having said that, I've only felt this bad about an exam once, and I had actually failed it (but who even needs Higher Accounts anyway?)

Am desperately trying to get my video to work: supposed to be going to the cinema, but have heard rumours the lovely Bill will be on ITT, and don't want to miss it, so need to try to figure out how to work the timer. Wish me luck!

Does anyone know what dances are being done in the final? We know Colin's doing a rumba and a quickstep (loved Claude's comment re: the rumba, by the way!), and that Darren's doing his paso...but do we know the others?

Hi all,

Admin on Darren B & Lilia's site has let it be known that they are doing the Paso, Foxtrot, a group V. waltz & a showdance.

Not certain how it'll work; do they do the individual ballroom & latin + V. Waltz, with only the last two doing the showdance or some other permutation?

If nothing else it gives some idea of 2 dances everyone has the chance to do.

Not long to post, again tonight. Have to be in Lancaster to pick up a mini-bus, & then drive 7 other people to Leicester, for the day, & back.

Another case of early to bed, I'm afraid.

Goodnight Glen. Oh, are you enjoying your new job? I haven't had a chance to ask yet how it's going (I know it's only day 2 so you might not have much of a feel for it yet). And what the hell were you doing driving a minibus, I thought you were an IT man.

Well all you Non Bashers, another early night for me too. I don't like this working for a living lark - thank goodness it's back to college next week and I can stay up till the small hours.

Speak to you all tomorrow.

Hey Glen, hope the job is going well, night Shadow sweet dreams.

Allybee sorry it was so tough, usually tho when I think I've done awfully in exams those are the ones I pass, hope you pass yours with flying colours.

Ian and Zoe are doing the Tango and the Samba, for their main ones and the V Waltz group thingy and the show dance. Cant wait.

Happy where are you its not the same in here without you and I need someone to mop my fevered brow, have been rather over come with Ian waititis tonight and need a sit on the Boz Cushion in a quiet corner for a while to calm down

Cheers for the info re: the dances, guys...some good choices in there. It's gonna be a good show!

Don't fight the Waititis, Star- go with it! Revel in it! As I advised the ladies on the Bill thread, repressing this stuff can lead to some very disturbing symptoms, including seizures and sweats...I'm sure our resident medics'll back me up on this? You'd be mad not to!

Have drank the wine, and the Martini...gonna have a good night's sleep tonight as that stuff's like some sort of sleeping draught to me. Also figured out how to work the timer on my video, so a good night all round, basically.

My scouts tell me that each finalist will do two dances (one ballroom and one latin) and a freestyle dance. Then all the couples from previous weeks will do a turn. In the results show all three finalists will do a group viennese waltz.

It doesn't appear that anyone will be voted out midway in the show as with previous series.

D&L - foxtrot and paso
C&E - quickstep and rumba
Z&I - tango and samba

plus each doing a freestyle dance and the group VW

From my experience you just can't tell with exams. In most exams it's not right or wrong -I'm sure you did better than you think

Night Allybee sweet dreams.

According to what the Divine Waite has written on his website, they are marked on all four dances, and one couple will be voted out before the showdance, but will do the show dance anyway.

Big sparkly pink hugs to one and all. xxxx

Star- please dont fight it yuo will actually feel worse if you do. You must let it run it's course ( or learn to live with it for ever if it shows no signs of going) I personally have learnt to live with Antonitis now for many weeks and have found it is not as bad as I feared it maybe ( lets hope no one comes up with a cure)

Ally- what a clever girl can you come and sort my new video recorder out for me. Cant tape a thiong on it ( good job have the old one in bedroom- but quality v poor-but better than nothing) keep thinking I must find the instruction manual and try to tune it in and sort it out ( it self tunes , but didnt do so correctly and I have no idea how to retune it!)

That makes sense Twinkle! They've always eliminated one of the couples part way through.

Not been to Ian's site...I understand their freestyle dance will be to 'America' from West Side Story but I'm sure you'll be able to confirm it Twinks

Hey Beesknees,

yes they will be dancing to West Side story but I didnt know it was that song, so you know more than I did

His site is lovely, lots of nice photos, and he up-dates it himself and theres a guest book if you want to sign it and show support.

Not that Ive been there much you understand

Dont worry Georgi cant fight it too tired, the power of Waite is too strong, just going to have to let it have its way with me

Its late been on here far too long, sweet dreams all see you soon, Twinkle xx

Am just rewatching some ITT, and he demonstrated it in his masterclass on the night you guys were on...James and Camilla did it in their waltz, if you still have it on tape.
