Shock Eviction
To say the least, I'm very surprised that Sharon axed Nicholas over the Conways. I predicted that those two would be the bottom two, and this is the third (I think) time that the sisters have been in the bottom two, and with this, in my opinion it was time for them to leave. Truthfully, they should've definately gone last week (they barely compare to Maria), and although Nicholas isn't fantastic, (I'd say he is just as good as The Conway Sisters vocally but has much more prospects than them) since they are highly-criticised and holding on by a thin piece of thread.
Based on vocal abilities, Chico deserves to go every week, but since this will never happen, I must skip him and see who I think is next deserving to leave (in last night's case, The Conway Sisters). I think the sisters were very shocked themselves. I believe that they expected to leave before the bottom two were even revealed. I have a strong feeling that next week will be their last on the show. Leon. |

I didn't ever see yesterday as a shock. The only shocks for me were 4tune going against Chenai and Maria going last week.

It's actually only the second time they have hit bottom two, exactly the same as Nicholas.

I don't think it was a shock at all. Even Chico sounded better than Nicholas last night, his performance was painful to watch!

I Vote no longer as the Judges decision is NOW just a Farce, as someone else says the CONWAYS should not be here now, the PUBLIC VOTED them in the bottom three times and they should have gone, they have such limited appeal, perhaps on a Pier Show and back in Ireland, CHICO has made the programme look stupid and they allow him to take it over, why?? - because SYCO TV have turned it into a Pantomime with the Three Ugly Sisters as Judges??
NICHOLAS does have potential, which the Conway's do not have! Simon must be so annoyed that he can't Rush Release "It's Chico Time" that is about his quality and sorry "Unchained Melody" will the winner record that?? J |

J they have only been in the bottom twice as was Nicholas- so they have just as much right to be there as he has - also he was dreadful last night. |

Both of them were awful last night, I'd have liked both the Conways and Nicholas booted out together!
I expect the Conways out this week, I cant see how they can possibly avoid being in the bottom two again, and they sing like a sack full of cats |

If you look at the 25+ group, the reason they are more or less intact is because they are more mature. Give Nicholas a few years and he CUD win it... but as for them muppets.....they have passed their sell by date. People aren't voting to keep them in anymore, so why drag it out...they are painful to listen to!!!! |

Let's face it, the song was originally by East 17 and Gabrielle. Brian Harvey is not exactly one of the greatest vocalists of our time. Anyone in the line-up (probably with the exception of Chico) has a better voice but a soloist should never be given a duet to sing, much less one performed by a man and a woman. Mind you, Louis seemed at a loss what to choose for Nicholas most of the time. I think Keisha from the Sugababes may have had a point when she said that it may have been an idea to give Nicholas pop songs and let him put an R&B twist onto them. BTW, I don't think the Conways deserved to go home or be in the bottom two on last night's performance either. IMO, it should have been Shayne for his horrendous phrasing and annunciation, and Chico for the blatant unfairness of being allowed to sing an original song. |

It wasn't a shock to me Nicholas has got increasingly worse over the weeks, the Conways were far better than him last night. I was hoping Sharon didn't hold a grudge against the Conways for Maria going out last week, because they didn't deserve to go last night.

The way I looked at it, Louis voted out Sharons Maria, so she voted out Louis Nicholas.

im a bit annoyed that simon ditched chenai over Nicholas as he apparently has potential but then ditched him over the conways who have no potential at all.
Ah well thats Simon for you. I suppose this was the first time he actually based his decision on who performed better on the night , despite lying in other weeks and saying thats what he would base it on (but if its your own acts your keeping in its easier i guess)... |

I thought the decision was correct this week. Nicolas was painfully out of tune, and awfull. The Conways were'nt good either, but they were better than Nicolas.
I think Sharon did the right thing, although I suspect she was quite relieved Nicolas did a bad performance, as I agree she wanted revenge on Louis, rather than the Conways, who were'nt to blame for last weeks farce. But objectivly, she did send home the worst performer, imo. |

I've never thought that Nicholas was fantastic, and every week he sings around the same level. I wouldn't say his performance was dire or rubbish, but he has more prospects that the Conways will ever have. I thought they'd been in the bottom two more times than twice
! Well, anyway, they deserved to go, and Nicholas is loved by the public but the sisters are hated.

None of this has shocked me, i expected them both to be bottom this week and Sharon made a choice, both acts are as talented as each other one of them had to go...
