I am watching Heartbeat, and i think it's a warming show.. have not seen any threads about it. Is that because it is not popualr? It does get high viewing figures though.

Can't stand it. Absolute rubbish and the theme tune irritates the hell out of me, I'd rather listen to an hour of that dreadful "Sheilas Wheels" song than the Heartbeat theme tune.

It's okay. I loved it more in the Nick & Kate Rowan days. It's still watchable and a change from a lot of stuff that's on TV though. One thing though what year is it meant to be now? I swear they should be in the 1970's now lol.

It's been going for about 14 years hasn't it? So they should be in the 1970's well by now.

Yeah, oh my god it annoys me!

"Women are the safest drivers you can save a bunch of fivers,
For bonza car insurance deals, girls get onto shielas wheels"

Makes me want to thump something!

Good point - they should be in 1977 now! Pub licensee Gina is supposedly in her "early thirties" (http://www.itv.com/page.asp?partID=1894) but was a teenager of eighteen when arriving in Aidensfield in late 1964.

Strange decision to keep it in the 1960's especially when you see how Tricia Penrose has changed her appearance over the years.

HB is still watchable.

Agreed. As I've said before on here, I don't watch it now after watching it from Episode 1. Between them Miller and Peggy have put me off watching.

I'm hoping Vernon returns next year (Gwen Taylor's contact runs out in March, Please God it's not renewed!) and makes it watchable again.

This point has been answered upteen times, including by the cast!

It's a 60's show. It's set in the 60's. It will still be set in the 60's if it's still going in 10 years time.
Simple as that.

It's nowhere as good as "Rocket Man" starring the excellent Robson Green....

PS I'm fed up to back teeth with that awful tune too
