what is it really about???
I was watching the show on Saturday night and there were a few things that really struck me. A. Chico is a great entertainer but does he really deserve to be there over people like 4tune, Maria etc... B. Are the judges really looking for talent or just controversey? and C. Who the hell picks the songs for the contestants???
I have to say, Nicholas didn't do a great job on Saturday night, but it was a hard song to sing. He should have been singing Lemar, Craig David or Usher not East17! I kinda knew he wouldn't win, but I think it looks like Louis really only wants Shayne to win and Nicholas kinda came across as the poor relation to him. Especially when it came to song choices.... |

QUOTE] I keep saying it day after day, but no one wants to know. This is not a talent contest, it's a live action soap. The contestants are just props and are being cyncially used as a backdrop to the Mrs. Baby-Voice Osbourne Show. |

I can understand what you are saying bt I honestly think that there is some genuine talent there but it is failed to be recognised. (ie Nicholas) |

nicolas has been crap
but he does have potential all he needs is time the best thing is for him to be evicted now and have more training, he needs to learn some basics and to keep in tune(hes terribly flat) he has been seen by the public and they will remember him, give him a couple of years and i think he could be big look at lamar |

I agree Willow, I think that PI was more genuine, XF roughly took the format realising that the judges confrontations pulled in the viewers so focused the show more on that, then this year realising the success they had from doing this last year have taken the format so far that actually finding talent is now much lower on their list of priorities than pulling in viewers / votes / money. I remember in the run up to this years auditions you had Simon saying something along the lines that this year they truly want to find an international singing star.. if you had said then that this years show would focus a lot of the time on an ex moroccan goat herder / stripper who can barely sing he would have said you were talking rubbish

And I really like Shayne but I think Nicholas has got a raw deal. It is gone past a joke at this stage. I think it's just gettin frustratin for viewers to watch week after week when the CS are in the bottom two and The judges keep keeping them in...What's the point in the vote.. It was stated in a newspaper over the weekend that the week that the CS and Maria were in the bottom 2 maria got more than twice as many votes as they did...Yet they are still here!!!!!
![]() as for the end vote, it hapened before the conways were ever in the bottom, remember 4tune and the ladies, do you really think they were bottom those weeks nicolas was not good enough, hes gone but in the future he could be good |

But i honestly think the judges are the ones who are ruining the competition. People obviously dont like the CS as they aren't voting for them and also all you have to do is look through these threads to see the same. So why o why are the judges keepin them in.,... Comon even Chico is better than them! |

Yep, I think last year he really wanted to win, but I don't think he is actually that bothered this year - I think Sharon is more interested in the exposure than anything, only Louis IMO see's it as an opportunity to get another act on his books, if for no reason other than pride I'm sure Louis will do something with Shayne whether he wins or not..

That an easy question to answer. Its all about self-promotion of the judges and making money for Syco. |

I think you are right but I thought I heard him say on Saturday night that he would be working with Nicholas anyway. Did anyone else notice this? |

I didn't hear that but i would have missed it if it was on ITV2 as I didn't see the post results show. It wouldn't suprise me if he said it though. The judges come out with all sorts of rubbish mainly designed to stroke their own ego's - like Sharon saying last year how Tabby & Cassie were now part of the Osbourne family and they would be looked after, its all part of the judges trying to show how brilliant and influential they are.. once the show is over all the acts will be forgotten and it will be onto the next thing.

After watching This Morning I can see Simon voting out the Conways before he would vote out Chico. He confirmed that Chico will be releasing a single shortly after the winner does on his record label.

I kinda knew that would happen. he is just as fed up with the CS as everyone else and it probably the most fair of all the judges as he bases his choice on the nite and not on who he prefers or any personal attachments to the contestants |

Simon did not say on This Morning that he would be releasing a single by Chico some time after the winner's has been released; what he did say was that it was quite possible. In other words the door is open but he is not committed.
Nicholas had to go on Saturday. He sang out of tune throughout the both times he performed the song and the main problem with him is that he is very forgettable. He has nothing unique about him and no amount of practice is going to change that. |
