Just an oppinion, but if any of you saw "Children in Need", I'm of the opinion that if Peter and Katie were to release that song at the right time they'll be at the top for X-mass, especialy if they stack the deck by giving all the profits to charity.
I was shocked at how good they sounded together.

well if chico wins he will be top at xmas

he has had early promotion with a live performance of his song

its got the kiddie appeal

he seems to be getting a lot of promotion from the sun(is that a chav paper, is that who he appeals to)

its a party time of year

why else would he still be in the contest

They pre recorded that song though, put it through about 6,000 mixers and then mimed it.

That'd be why it actually sounded so good then, and why, if it's released, it'll sell.

First time I've heard anyone use a sequencer, tuner whatever to mime off key!! I think if it was pre-recorded they would have done a better job. I also think the papers would have jumped all over it if they thought someone was miming! Good luck to ALL the remaining contestants.

I think your idea is a good one re: Peter and Katie. I too was surprised how good they sounded, although I wouldn't go over the top inpraise of their singing skills still and the love in Peter's eyes for Katie was unmistakable Awww, that was quite sweet

Someone said Katie's was pre-recorded. I don't know how true that is, but the record still sounded ok and I am surprised they haven't gone for the Christmas market with it.

You could say that's true of many artistes though, they are no different and the end result did sound quite good and I was surprised how much I enjoyed listening to it

Plus they had the most money pledged during their song

I don't think they are allowed to release anything til the show is finished. Which would mean that nothing would come out until January. I seem to remember Steve Brooksteins first one coming out in Jan.

Steve's single was released late December, but Band Aid was top, so Steve's debuted at number two and went to number one the following week, the first number one of 2005.
