Hi, i was wondering if someone could help me.
I had a telephone fault in my house - the telephone line was dead. The BT engineer came around and fixed it but i also have an extra telephone socket downstairs which is still dead. I asked the BT engineer to fix it but he said that the telephone socket downstairs is an extension and so BT does not cover it's cost. He said it was really easy to fix - just open the font plate and terminate the wires????

Does anyone has a clue and please help me????

Probably just means that the wires running from downstairs aren't connected to the hold in the white phone socket front bit where u plug in the cable. Just open it up and have a look.

Switch to Telewest and you can take advantage of free extensions and even second lines. Second lines are charged at £10.50 per month extra.

Telewest?? And have less choice of cheap phone providers!

Telewest for broadband. For TV and phone - forget it.

We used to have Telewest phone a few years back, but like many people we saw the light.

However we have now even dropped the BT line and use just VoIP.
