1. My digibox (ancient Pace) passes through teletext (therefore the Guide+ data too as suggested) via SCART
2. You don't need to subscribe to Sky to download the Guide+ data. I even removed the Sky card and it still worked.”
Chris, Having read your various contributions towards GUIDE+ on the Pioneer DVR530 GUIDEplus issues, I am in a similar sticky situation to others.
I cannot receive T/Text at all (SCART/RF) from my Panasonic TU-DSB40 SKY Receiver. I am not a subscriber to Sky (was some years back, since cancelled contract). This leaves the Pioneer without G+ although I do question how G+ can claim compatibility [
http://www.europe.guideplus.com/En/h...xtrec_uk.html] when clearly they have not tested each and every connection configuration. I have no terrestrial signal available in my house/area.
1. I can confirm that the G-Link is working and channel changing.
2. I have left the Pioneer on stand-by overnight with the STB switched-on tuned to E/Sport.
3. I have tuned the Pioneer RF channel to pass through any RF.
4. I have set the video O/P mode on the STB back from RGB to PAL, as I had read that the VBI detail is only included via PAL (not sure I trust this?)
If you have any further advice, or indeed if anybody else has. I would be most grateful.
Also if anybody can point me to a Panasonic TU-DSB40 User Guide to confirm my suspicion that it will not decode analogue T/Text - that would be perfect.
Thanks, Nick (v_v_g)
