Renewed O2 contract

Just renewed my contract with O2 and I'm quite happy. I was on Online 300 which is 300 Off Peak mins and 500 texts for £25. I only use about 250 texts a month but I needed more minutes.

I've had a few phone calls from 3 offering me great deals so I decided to chance my arm with O2. First time I called, I was offered 500 mins and 100 texts for £45 and was told how fantastic this was. Thats the best deal they could offer I was told....no thanks. Hung up, phoned back straight away. Explained to the guy about 3, the best he could offer me was 500 mins and 200 texts for £25. I said make it 300 texts and you've got a deal. He couldn't do it, it would cost £36 for 300 texts. No thanks I said. Phoned back again straight away, asked for my PAC code, was asked what kind of deal I was offered.

She checked my account and offered me 500 anytime minutes and 300 texts for £24 with a free K750i. I took that one

Probably could have held out for more texts but I never go over about 250 anyway and I'm gettin 200 extra minutes and they're anytime instead of off peak with a new phone, so I'm happy

Anyone get any good deals?

if i were you mate i'd call back and just double check what they've given you and MAKE them write i in your notes what they've offered u then read it back to u over the phone.
retentions have a funny habit of missing out important information when it comes to save deals
also get the advisors name and ext.

She did that over the phone and read out exactly what I was getting and repeated it twice and I had to give my mothers maiden name for confirmation and I've just got an e-mail about my handset upgrade. My new tarriff starts on December 18th
