Making Video Calls
Hi there
A friend of mine has just got a Nokia 6630 phone, but when she tries to make a video call to a friend who has a similar phone she's getting a message saying (roughly) the other phone or network can't support it. Friend has Nokia 6630 on Orange, her friend has video enabled phone on 02 or Vodaphone. Thanks in advance! edit: just to confirm Friends phone is Nokia 6630 on Orange, her Friends phone is Motorola V980 on Vodaphone Last edited by Puerto Rico Pam : 22-11-2005 at 15:35. |

Are you both in a 3G Coverage area when you do this? I get this message when either i or my mate does not have a 3G signal.

As Quackers said; they'd both need to be in a 3G coverage area for their respective network. I've seen that message too.
From my experience, Vodafone are still a bit ropey when accepting videocalls from other 3G networks (Especially Orange); but that is just my experience. Obvious comment here maybe, but she is aware that the Nokia 6630 only has one camera so her mate shouldn't be able to see her (unless she turns the phone around or has the Desktop stand)? |
