If this is an update for the DVDR7250H could you possibly provide a link. I've searched the Philips site and can't find anything on the DVDR7250H - they don't even recognise the model number.

Thanks

John

The new firmware is for the DVDR7300H/05, although the previous contributor could have made it clear that he had the thread title in mind.

No firmware updates for the 7250H yet; it's not been officially released in the UK since the only country code for that model is '/31'...

Would edit my post to add this point, but can't.

Many thanks for your prompt reply. Although your answer is clear enough I am confuse about the "not officially released in the UK" - I bought the unit in the UK. Confused or not I don't want to prolong this discussion because I'm in the wrong thread.

I think what he is saying is that usually uk realsed products have an /05 in the model number. Dunno if they've changed the numbering tho? :s

Has anybody tried this latest firmware update LR1F for the DVDR7300H/05. Is it worth doing? I have no real issues with the unit at present, If I knew there were no side effects I would go for it (I would hate to loose the channel change like what happend with the DVDR725H for example, and back to blue button work arounds etc)

I decided to go ahead and update my DVDR7300H/05 with LR1F. No problems at all. I can't say I notice any real difference apart from the remaining disk space button. . .

Does anyone know if it possible to either make the DVDR7300H multi-region?

Ensure tray is closed
Open HDD browser.

Type in the following numbers

Hi

I got the chance to buy one of these for like €150 from a friend who's leaving town. Excuse me if it's not a stupid question, but if I buy a quad LNB and run another cable into it, does it mean I can use it as a Sky+ box?
