My set up has been stable for at least 6 months but just recently I have been getting some UHF interference breaking out typically when my DMR-ES10 is reading a DVD-RAM disc either when it is loaded or unloaded or the ES10 goes into or comes out from standby (manually or timer controlled) when a DVD-RAM disc is inside.
This interference seems to affect all the TV analogue UHF channels and I think it may be present on both the UHF OUT and the UHF IN from/to the ES10 - I suspect this because I have also had some unexplained digital TV interference which could be the result of interference propagating "backwards" along the UHF chain - that's guesswork though.
The DVD-RAMs are newish cartridge 3x Panasonics and I checked them on my PC using the Panasonic dust check utility issued with their DVD Multidrives - all green.
I had the UHF output on the ES10 set to Ch55 but I have now set it to -- (ie off) for the time being and if that doesn't fix it I will have to disconnect it completely from the UHF - not a crippling hardship as there are SCART links which would normally be used anyway.
The complete RF set up from the aerial is :-
DTTV box 1-> DTTV box 2 -> DMR-ES10 -> DMR-E50 -> TV
The DMR-E50 is not causing any problem - it is set to RF ch 51.
The other UHF frequencies in use are :-
Analogue TV 21, 24, 27, 31, 39
Digital TV 40, 42, 43, 45, 46, 67
I once saw a similar problem with a DMR-E55 so it may be a known issue.
If anyone can shed any light on this, or has experienced a similar problem I would be very interested. I am just a little concerned that it may be a fault in the ES10 which I should get fixed while the unit is still under warranty lest it gets worse in the future.
