I would add that none of the female professionals have moaned about their partners either as far as I am aware, they also have encouraged people of limited ability and natural talent. Of course, all the celebrities and professionals would love to win, but there is more to the show than that. Gloria has consistently said that she had a wonderful time and that it was one of the best things she has done and she had great fun, and I think that that reflects on the professional dancer (Darren) that she was paired with. Brendan is a great dancer, but maybe his interpersonal skills are somewhat lacking.??”

Exactly on the same page as you...............
I really would have liked to see Jaye and Andrew go farther they were only just warming up.........and Matthew went far too early. Both of these guys have equivalent skills at least to those of Brendan so why should he always get the best partner......................

In the time that he presumably has available to him I assume that Len would be able to get a competent performance out of Fiona. But I was struck by the fact that although Len is generally a "nice guy" I suppose.... he really couldn't find anything complimentary to say about Fiona's dancing on ITT the other night....choosing instead to flatter Fiona about her figure. That speaks volumes I think.

Aww...

I liked Fiona, she couldnt dance for toffee, but she was lovely. I hope Len can whip her into shape ready for the finale. I think he will be very gentle with her and I really hope it pays off when she comes to dance.

btw she still speaks to brendan a lot! so if she still likes him after all she went through the guy must be nice!

I thought she said the other nite on the show that she still spoke to him but definitely not a LOT.

She said this is the first week we haven't been in touch and it was only the beginniing of the week then.
Why shouldn't they speak not like the aren't friends or anything, they did get on, she has always mantained that he is a lovely guy, and he has always said she is a lovely lady, and that he didn't mind having Fiona as a partner at all, because he was taking someone who couldn't dance at all into someone who could and Fiona was getting there all be it slowly. She admitted that she was absolutley terrified of dancing and Brendan mangaed to get her get on a dance floor and improve each week, and have more confidence about going out and dancing and enjoying it.
so credit where it is due please Brendan did do some good and he isn't the person he shown to be on the programme

Does anyone remember which day last week Fiona was surprised with lessons, was it Wednesday? I wonder if it will become a regular Wednesday slot - to see her progress (or not) as the case may be.

No disrespect to Brendan, but I don't think he had the right approach.”

This is my first post and I felt I had to comment on this. I have just returned to dancing after many years of not dancing (I did competitions in the 1970s). I know Brendan is an excellent dancer but felt he let Fiona down in the first dance by making the routine too complicated for a new dancer. I think once her confidence was lost it was going to be an up hill struggle to get back on track. Therefore with Len working from basics up she should improve and as she improves her confidence will grow.
