.....which is why Tim is a threat to your favourite housemate.
Not because he can beat any of those left, but could damage their chances.
He's becoming more polarised as each minute passes. More anti Jonny and Kate and more pro Alex.
His slagging off of Kate and Jonny will increase and may highlight faults/flaws to potential backers. Likewise, he's very nearly 3/4 of the way up Alex's backside and is pushing on. Alex is again being taken in by 'the most hated' and his closeness to Dim could again put some fans off Alex.
A danger to Jade? Only in terms of the next eviction as surely they'll be head to head.

Then again, he's such an arrogant, pompous arse maybe no-one will take a blind bit of noice to anything he says!

Cosmic!

I've just said on a different how funny it is that Alex always seems to have people the public dislike the most as his closest confidants.......Alex=Jonah?

Still, it hasn't done him too much harm so far but he's not as popular as he once was.
It's the Kate fans who should really fear. His contempt holds no bounds and I'm sure he'll crank up the vitriol this week.

Loose Cannons Are Dangerous.......

what is Kate going to do ?

is she intent on winning...will she try to get Alex & Jonny nominated....she must be very suprised at PJ being evicted...Godfather's best mate..

they will all go to bed tonite even more confused except for Kate who should easily work out how popular she is on the outside

they are discussing now the unexpected evictions and Tim calls the GB public 'gay'.....confirms the 'them and us' divide is still firmly in place

What is Kate going to do?
She just has to not fall out with Alex. Tim can only slag her off in the DR (his hobby) and to Alex but while Alex and Kate are friendly, he cant go too far. He does keep trying though doesn't he?

But then again...he does seem very unpopular out here so is it really a bad thing that he's slagging them off? I don't like Jonny that much (he's about third, for me) but when Tim moans about Kate and Jonny it just makes me hate Tim more, that's all.

Alex has always been pally with the HM's i dislike most, whether its being 'taken in' or simply and informed choice is debatable, but the more he supports Tim's views on things the less i like Alex.

I think he likes the more conservitive members of the house [ except for whe he's drunk and loses his inabitions]. He loikes tim becauses he doesn't get involved in the fun games the others play. He liked adele because she like him was a complicated person who he could talk. to He liked sandy again because he was no prepared to get involved in any of the games and someone he could to in confidence. Good or bad he's chosen less friendly housemates in our eyes because they don't get involved in any of the antics the others like jonny or pj do.

insightful and succinctly put Matt.

One of the things, is that after Tim has overheard the "Get Tim out" shout, Tim has had nothing else on his mind. Even as i write this (2:30pm), he is having a talk with alex about it and alex is suggesting he should speak to mr miyagi. Tactically it would be a good thing for the jonny/kate camp, because of the demoralising effect it is going to have. As Tim goes on a downward navel-gazing spiral, he is going to drag alex down with him. lets face it tim has a lot more negative traits to worry about than jonny with his prejudices, arrogant attitudes, snide negative comments about other housemates. Its only because he is so arrogant, that tim fails to see why he is hated. if he tries to figure it out, he is just becoming bad tv to watch. this would bring out a natural empathising reaction from alex - which would bring out alexs negative points to the fore .. his old woman/whingeing/moaning side and decrease his popularity so that more votes go somewhere else.

It's a good point and is generally true but Alex has, on occasion, joined in some of the horseplay when not drunk. I think he would have done it more, and might still do it, if his best bud wasn't always putting the mockers on it.
Adele hated Jonny and his antics thus putting the mockers on Alex getting involved. Now its the case with Tim.
Remember that few days after Adele went when Alex was at his best. On his own, no downbeat ally, and joining in and having a laugh. Then Tim start his anti-pantomine rants and Alex is subdued again.

precisely.

pro-alex camp would do well to turf Tim onto his plush posh behind come eviction time. with this close into the end-game, there are plenty of votes as far as going to public, there are ten votes 5 HMs, and typically needing just 2 or more to go public, volume of votes is not an issue. After this week, it is one-on-one, and Tim would be a hindrance.

You're right, as of last night, Tim can only really harm Alex for the reasons you've given. My original point didn't account for him discovering his unpopularity. If this hadn't happened he would have become more confident, arrogant and vocal, especially reagarding his disdain for Kate and Jonny.
Alex might catch on. He's been through it once with Adele and if he thinks about it enough he'll suss that close alliances with unpopular people wont be good for him.
Anyhow, if Tim doesn't manage to engineer not being up for eviction via another stupid task, he will walk. His ego couldn't take an Adele-style reception especially if beaten by Jade.

Lol, indeed.

Especially considering it would be only the third time a man has lost to a male vs female public vote. I really hope the camera stays on him so we get to see the reactions. Not necessarily out of any schadenfraude, but it is definitely going to be better than any soap ive been watching.
