Unless it's some sort of reverse-psychology-type peculiar publicity stunt, which I half suspect it to be, it shows a complete lack of backbone not to allow oneself to be criticised by others by saying it on television, where there can be no chance of 'misinterpretation', or 'taking things out of context'.

Although I fail to see how calling someone "a two-bit actress off a second-rate soap." CAN be misinterpreted...

He's kidding himself - Eastenders used to be good when Patsy was in it!

Looks like another cut up job of bits of old quotes to me. I hope Claud gets into it with him on Thursday, then we'll see! I bet he says he's been misquoted, etc etc.

"a two-bit actress off a second-rate soap."
That's going to go down well with his BBC paymasters!

Hi everyone by the way. Long time lurker. Loving all your work.

If there is any truth to the story, then I certainly know which side I'm on. You just don't argue with the professionals - the people who know best.

Just get her off the programme, although it could be quite interesting viewing if this is the start of a major (or even minor) conflict.”

Sneaky suspicion that they are trying to hot up the show with some off-floor interest. Now that Brendan's out they need someone to add the x factor ( so to speak). Perhaps this week Patsy could throw water over Craig..............

I've just had a thought. Patsy and Anton haven't been on ITT yet this week - and Craig is on tomorrow (typically the one we don't get in Scotland. We're supposed to be happy with Gaelic programmes. Hmmph.

Anyway, that could be a confrontation. Patsy has not shown any ability to keep her mouth shut at appropriate times. I have a feeling that Anton was poking her in the back to get her to shut up the other night because he obviously knew he'd done the lift and didn't want her to drop him in it. Surely she knew too. I mean, could you be lifted off your feet without your knowledge?

I do hope Patsy and Craig get a chance to talk before any kind of on-screen confrontation. I would HATE for SCD to be tainted by these sort of underhanded nasty tactics

She honestly didn't know what the others had done before and just said she was really pleased with the comments from Len because he was the only one she knew to be a proper ballroom/latin judge.”

And she was right (she was pretty daft to have said so though) they may all have been ex-professional dancers in one style or another but to my knowledge not one of them apart from Len Goodman has a professional qualification in ballroom or latin dancing. You may say dancing is dancing but asking a former disco choreographer to judge ballroom or latin technique is like asking a geography teacher to mark a chemistry test. If SDC was run under British Dance Council rules (which it isn't) none of the rest of the panel would be able to judge since they do not have professional qualifications in the style of dancing they are judging and would therefore not be eligible for an adjudicator's licence.

Craig rattling his beads and going off in a flurry of talcum powder will do Patsy nothing but good. People will be voting for her non stop. This article could put her in the final!
Also, is Anton 42? By gum he's good for his age!

Yep! Craig, Patsy & Anton are all going to be on ITT tomorrow night so, unless Craig issues a speedy denial, there could be fireworks on the sofa.

Personally, I think this is like a lot of the stories that are being printed, in that it clearly states that they've lifted it from a magazine article; the other favourite is that it comes from an, un-named, insider at the BBC.

Let's be honest, they all seem like such nice people & they are all getting along so well; such as the laugh a minute salsa training, that the gossip sheets must really be struggling for something spicy to print.

There again, it could just be as Endemoniada says, tactics in a ratings war with the X-Factor.

Whatever the reasons for this out pouring of bile, it isn't really a pleasant thing to do to anybody in a national paper.

I know that Craig has a 'Mr. Nasty' image, but i think that this series he has got better. i think that he is usually just honest, and can't imagine he would say something like this. i hope SCD doesn't turn into a show where everyone is having a go at everyone else and no-one gets along - it's just not the programme we all fell in love with!
ps. is Anton really 42? he looks loads younger than that to me!!

I can't understand why Craig would make these comments as well - it seems out of character and anyway Patsy was trying to give the judges a compliment and insulted them in the process - that's just Patsy!! Craig has been fair with his judgements since - agree hope this doesn't turn into a free for all tomorrow night -

Maybe Anton can challenge Craig to a duel to defend Patsy's honour!!

Well, Craig attempted to do the honorable thing tonight, by stating that most of what appeared in The Mirror article was pure fabrication

It's just a shame that Patsy wasn't there to hear this. She does appear to be quite sensitive, when criticised, & one can imagine just how devastated Craig's alleged remarks would have had on her.

I think Patsy has been devastated by the things Craig Revel-Horwood is reputed to have said about her yesterday which is why she didn't make her scheduled appearance on ITT tonight. Craig made a public apology tonight about SOME of the things he was claimed to have said in yesterday's Daily Mirror. He actually said that he didn't say MOST of the things reported....which means that he DID say SOME of the ghastly things. Now that's not fair. He knows what Patsy's like and that she suffers from a lack of self-confidence so for him to be making derogatory remarks at this stage is unkind and unnerving for her. Perhaps that's the effect he was hoping for?? I guess he wanted to get her back for what she said about his lack of judging ability - miaow! But if Patsy IS upset, that does NOT bode well for Saturday night.... If she's really upset NOW, it will completely unbalance her and with only less than 48 hours to go, will there be enough time for her recover???

Well if Patsy's confidence is a bit battered then she's with the best partner to buildit up again.

Anton always says Patsy at least has one very tough day a week. Hopefully she went home tonight, spent some time with her husband and kids so she can come back afresh tomorrow rather than going through a potentially stressful ITT.

And kudos to Craig for mentioning the alleged comments. He could have just ignored the matter and it impressed me that he tackled it head on.
GlenP

True, but a complete denial might; together with the fact that he's actually been a bit nicer to the contestants of late, might detroy his "Mr. Nasty" reputation.

Here's hoping Patsy can adopt an "I'll show him" attitude & give the preformance of her life.

Patsy was only being naive not nasty and Craig on tv tonight said sorry. Anton and Patsy are a lovely entertaining couple lets leave it at that they deserve to stay in

PS Antons not 42 for a few years yet

I have yet to read the article, it must've said some rather nasty stuff huh?

Anyhow, Craig did apologize in It Takes Two today, and said that he didn't say the things that were published.
