Unlocking cables
Forgive a newbie a daft question please!
My son has a K700i locked to Orange and wants to unlock it, I understand that this cannot be done remotely, but needs a cable. I have seen a few on Ebay for around £10 ish, but they say that it comes with no instructions! We don't want to risk messing up his phone, so does anyone have any recommendations for these cables please? |

If you're only looking to unlock one phone then it's probably best to find an independant phone retailer who will do it for you, it usually only costs about ten pounds

Are there shops that will unlock phones? I really don't fancy a market stall.....

the chains (link, phones4u et al) usually can't but independat stores usually can. I'd suggest ringing round a few from the yellow pages or www.yell.com and see, chances are you should be able to find one close to you who can do it. If you can't then contact your network, IIRC Orange will do it for you for 20 quid but it takes a couple of weeks.
