If Jade were a bloke?

Jade is not being treated differently because of her "baby" act. But she really does behave in that child-like and childish manner. That grating "baby voice", is utterly foul. But her character is really one of volatile tantrums and atrocious acts one minute and hugs the next. Her perception of the world and those around her, her comments and behaviour are all consistent with her topsy-turvy nature.

She is a lot more open and easy to read than some of the other housemates. We know what she is about. Thats not to say we approve of what she does or says. Its because we are aware of the level of her maturity. And we measure her by her own yardstick. She maybe 21 years old, but emotionally she may not be as mature as other girls her age. We need to take that into account We are not letting her get away with some of the things she has done simply because she is female, and because of her "baby voice".

To assess her by other measures would be the same as some of the blatantly obvious and inappropriate politically correct conclusions that are clearly wrong. Most people have highly-refined and complex ways of judging characters. Its much better to see the positive facets of peoples character at first since, it gives a broader perspective and flaws flagged more easily when we are trying to read them. But when we nit-pick and criticise, we have gone into a frame of mind that forgets the bigger picture.

And lets face it, with Jade it does need to be bigger (persepective-wise).

This is a great thread. It really should force some of the Jade Thought Police in this forum to reassess their attitudes. I won't bother going over all the reasons why she is such a hateful excuse for a human being (all of which have nothing to do with her looks and everything to do with her character and behaviour) because they have all been covered so many times and so well already in these forums.

But I would be interested to know what sex the Jade supporters are to see if it's just blokes whose only release is to fancy Sunday Sport models who like her.

I would also be interested to find out *what planet they are from* because it obviously isn't the same one as the majority of the human race.

Surely the only reason Jade is now receiving public sympathy is because of the slight ‘turnaround’ in her bullying, back stabbing and downright nasty behaviour.

Now the reason for this turnaround was not that Jade suddenly realised she was a rather unpleasant character and should do something about it......oh no.....she was TOLD to do something about it.

So now we are left with a person, who for all intents and purposes is not being their true selves.

Doesn’t Jade hate liars?

Sorry Jade......you’re still ‘orrid

Regardless of gender.

A good reply, but to the point: would a male equivalent be treated so leniently by the viewers?

Jade has appeared a horrible bully in the house and the press coverage (substantiated) backs up that as a trait. She blubs. She has a comparatively hard childhood (compared to someone whao has a better childhood than her. Actually, compared to my family background she was a spoilt brat!!!!

We really do not know about her maturity. What we do know is that she was vetted by a psych before she went in and she had a talet for acting at school. We cannot be sure she is as vulnerable as some imply.

We also know she is clever: maybe some of her jadeisms are accidental but IMO most are "clever" - yet still amusing.

If she was a bloke: a thuggish bully from a rough background who blubbed every time an HM faced him with sommat ...

Do you really think there would be the massive "we forgive you you poor little thing [aka girl]" ?

I think I already know the answer but still feel the need to ask....
