The last two years I have wanted the best dancer to win (IMO...Natasha and Jill) and the people who try or really improve, to come in the final three or four.

This year I feel a bit differently. I like them all, and they all dance fab, but my heart is over ruling my head this year.

In my head...I know that Zoe and Colin are the best dancers and deserve to be in the final. And if either wins...rightly so. But both leave me a bit cold...I don't get goosebumps when I watch them like I did with Jill last year.

My heart wants Darren or Patsy to do it (Patsy because of obvious reasons) and Darren as he is a big beefy sportsmen who looks like he just enjoys pints all night and whose level of dancing looks like it should be Agadoo...when actually, in reality, he is improving every week (and not Julian Clarey improving style....really doing well) has thrown himself into it, and is so light on his feet!

So in my heart I would have him and Patsy in the final.....but my head knows that is wrong as I don't normally do that.



Anyone else any heart/head views?

I want the best dancers to be in the final and that looks like zoe / darren/ colin I would hate any of the others to make it on sentiment even though I love karen hardy to bits

Head = Darren

Heart = James and Bill

Oh, good thread Boho. I've been a bit divided on who I would want to win for that reason, the head and heart thing.

My head wants Colin to win because he's a really good dancer and got a great attitude.

But my heart wants Patsy and Anton (sursprise surprise) cos "Anton iz fit" and I think they are both funny and make me laugh.

At the moment it is okay because I vote for them both, but if they both got to the final and I had to pick one as a winner... that'd be tricky.

My thoughts exactly - apart from the Karen Hardy bit.

I feel exactly the same way Last Saturday, I felt like yelling 'Surprise me! Do something spectacular!' through the screen at Zoe - yes, she's very talented, but you know exactly what you're going to get from one of her performances. Colin's performances are a little more unpredictable, but are still fairly samey.

I would love for Patsy and Anton to win, but I don't think it's going to happen. The judges seem to have it in for them, and there doesn't seem to be a massive amount of public support for them either. But they look like they have so much fun together, and I have fun watching them

I do feel that...and to be honest. much as I love Bill and James, they are not so good as the rest, so if they go they go .....but I am really toying with voting for someone who started off crap but became brilliant this year..rather than a consistent performer.....e.g. darren.

But I know it is wrong.

On natural ability I suppose Zoe ought to win unless she goes downhill rapidly, but because of his enthusiasm and the enjoyment he brings and the way he has improved and taken to the whole thing, I would really love Darren to win. My three for the final would be Zoe, Colin and Darren.

This is a great thread. I've been edging away from posting on it as I'm frightened what my answer will be but I'm going to brave it (though y'all are going to have to bear with me as I think it through).

In my head... I know it should be the best dancer or should it be the best couple - so who is the best dancer? or who are the best couple?
Technically I think Zoe & Ian or Colin & Erin are the best...and of those.. Zoe & Ian look aesthetically the best. But does that mean they are the best dancers/couple?

I feel like the couple who win should be the one who give me goosebumps when they dance. In series 1 Natasha & Brendan just had an amazing connecton; she was a natural dancer who had never danced and it was just the rags to riches story in terms of dance.. a perfect winner.
Last series it was slightly controversial as Jill had danced before but still by the end of the series she had won me over in the way she improved in Ballroom and was a worthy winner (though I was plumbing for Aled & Julian). Lesley also used to have me in tears each week with her passion for the dance.. speaking of which Dennis had me in tears when he left the series and said how wonderful dance was.
So this is the 3rd series.. as the best technical dancers do not excite me (and I can't explain why they don't) I am thinking that this year should be the year of the peoples champion. The year of passion, dedication and desire... who does it for me? BILL & KAREN!

from my three I personally would like to vote for the most improved over the series week by week starting off reasonable and really progressing so my vote would go to Darren - Zoe does nothing for me which is a shame cos having known Ian Waite a long time would love him to win so if push come to shove then Head = Colin and Heart says Darren for his sheer improvement and enjoyment of it all

I think Zoe probably deserves it for sheer consistency of excellence, although Colin is a close second. Darren also deserves to win for his improvement and his flouting of expectations.

In my heart, Patsy and Anton would be holding the big glitterball, and if not them then Colin and Erin.

The people i actually think (at this stage) will end up in the final will be Darren, James and Bill, with Darren to win.

Head = Colin, then Zoe, then Darren
Heart = Patsy

Head wins. As it always does in my very sad, practical, sensible, unromantic life.

My head wants Colin, Zoe and Darren to be in the final simply because they are the best dancers, with either Colin or Zoe to win it. But I agree with Bohochick in that they both leave me a bit cold, and I'm not sure why. I think it's because when they started out they were fantastic and then carried on being fantastic, and I'm more interested in the ones who've really improved... there's more of a story there. (It's for this reason that Jill also left me a bit cold in Series 2 and I was rooting for Denise).

So my heart is cheering for Darren to win, and would also like to see Bill in the final. Because he has such a great personality, he's so much fun to watch and he seems to be really enjoying it.

obviously I'd love Anton to be in the final (crosses everything) but can I be a tiny bit contraversial and say in my head and my heart I want Ian to win, love him, love, him, love him, and he was robbed last year. So wanted him and denise to win, tho Jill and Diddy Darren were great, Ian has such a fire and a joy about dance and is amazing to watch. Zoe annoys me a litte but is a good dancer.

Darren and Bill would be fun to have in the final tho I suspect coling will be there, he doesnt do that much for me (good hip action but other than that, not awhiff) Prefer him running myself.

For the final three:

Head: Zoe, Colin, Darren
Heart: Bill, Darren, Zoe

Head has to be Zoe. Not to knock her; she has put a lot of effort in & produced some fine performances, but the judges might just put the voting public off her.

Heart would have to go with Darren & Lilia. Amazed at the results they put in each week & at the transformation that has been achieved, from the lumbering lads on the pop dancer & anyone who can capture the spirit of the competition by having so much fun deserves to win in my book. (Oh, & I have a soft spot for Lilia; seems such a lovely lass, after she got knocked out in the semi-final of Series 2.)

I so agree with you all about Zoe being technically the best and most consistent but the only couple I get a bit tingly over is James & Camilla - don't know why, could be the hint of romance or just the 'x factor' - oops wrong show!

Basically for me it's about the professionals, I have my favs and don't care who they dance with. I would like Anton or Ian to win full stop, preferably Anton, but now I'm drifting off into pink fluffy Anton world, and I know it. lol
What am I like?

My head tells me that all fingers point to Zoe to win.

Real world final I think it will Zoe, Colin and Darren

Dream world final I'd choose Bill, James and Darren

would quite frankly switch off if patsy/bill/james made final would be mockery

My head's telling me Darren & Lilia, my heart James & Camilla. I will honestly be happy whichever though, because I only love James a *tiny* bit more!!!

My head thinks Zoe , but my heart thinks Darren or Patsy , both of whom seem to be enjoying it so much.
