Well, just to be different I thought they ALL came out of it quite well, with the possible exception of Alex and in all fairness he had said before supper that he had a migraine. As one who gets migraines I can understand his lack of enthusiasm.
All in all not a very interesting task, perhaps more interesting for the fact that I can't think of anything rude to say

Emzi - couldn't agree more. Jade has been completely marginalised and despite everything that's gone before, I couldn't help but feel for her. I do believe that she's more intelligent than she's given credit for and also that her life experience has toughened her but it's just a hard shell, beneath which she's Lickle Jade, emotionally stuck at an age much younger than her chronological years. However, I also feel that when she's liberated from the house she'll be supported by her friends and family and see the experience for what it is -- an artificial environment into which she allowed herself to be catapulted and which turned out to be a steep learning curve for her. I'd like to think that she'll benefit from the experience once she's worked it all through, ideally with a professional, and begin to take ownership of her actions and consider how they impact on others.

As for Tim, I thought he handled the phone call very well. 40 secs is no time at all and he said all he needed - or was able - to say in that very short duration. His mother also dealt with it intelligently, reassuring him at once about his girlfriend, stating that there was no time to discuss his father's broken shoulder, and showing him love and support. I believe his tears were genuine and I hope the phone call buoys him up for the coming week.

Going soft, for some reason, but hey ...

Leave him alone.

Big Brother is artificial. It is a TV show. People in it are human beings. We all love to dip into the pantomime aspect - "we all hate Tim, we loathe Tim out". At the harsh end of the day we must break down the boundaries of false judgement and prejudice and cry with Tim. It's human nature. He'll come out of that house and his life will probably be ruined. We're the executioners. Isn't it time to walk out the door and accept him as being a human being?

Hear hear!

The nasty hounds are baying for blood.
They can pause to regret after the sacrifice (remember Adele?).

But to ask "is there one here?" that is not every bit as bad as Tim, as Alex, as Jonny, as Kate ... in some way or other.

No, because that would be more painful: we would have to look inside ourselves where the real evil lies ...

Call me a cynic but a migraine to Alex is probably a mild headache to the rest of us.

I'm sorry but last night Tim was going on and on about how nobody should be booed (least of all him of course!) and that everyone deserves a clap no matter what. What about Sophie then? Did he give her a fair chance/a clap? Methinks not.

I have and if Alex had a migraine he wouldn't be able to be in bright light let alone feel like laughing in the diary room .

I've never seem a worse example of their blatant disregard for Jade. If she vanished into thin air I doubt they'd even notice, they are so up their own fame obsessed a*rses. Poor Jade.
”

My goodness ... another "Digital Spy Reporter".

Hardly call that post an "objective assessment".
Jade seemed happy with the outcome though I was willing Tim to say "no, you go" to Jonny. Jade does seem to be eager to please. The group feeling was for Tim (what do they know, they only live with him 24/7?) and I really bet Jade was happy with the result.

Dare I say it. Have you considered working for the Sun newspaper?

Migraines can be little or big, he may just have had a small one that went away, my mum gets them (the famous mavis b sausage) and she says that she gets minor ones, maybe alex had one of them?!

Perhaps Alex thought (as I did) that Tim was being railroaded into taking the call when it was obvious that Tim was very nervous about what he might hear. That's why Alex took himself out of the equation, to give Tim some space to make up his own mind. If only Jonny had given him equal consideration, but he was determined that Tim would have the call at all costs, despite how much he misses his mam, dad and Joanne. While presenting this as a St Jonny sacrifice, was he secretly hoping that Tim might hear some not-so-good news?

So how would we differentiate a 'little' migraine from a regular headache??

mromega, i agree it is very different to our own. The internet feeds arent but the tv show is heavily produced more so than last year even. It is much more 'played out' than how it is on the net feeds but it means it is a lot more entertaining. I know what you mean by the soap opera thing, the speak so freely in the DR because the producers are more friendly and open with them, they would go mad otherwise, you'll see what i mean when things get mroe personal after 3 weeks.

I do love the flashbacks though, i knew the first one was coming even before they it was shown, just knew that reminder of what happened was on its way. (how i wish C4 did something like that for Adele).

Once you get to know the HG though then the HoH tasks are riveting as they mean the difference between the good, decent people you like staying and the idiots and nasty people going.

USBB1 had the piss taken out of it more than S1 over here but now things have changed round after they brought in a new producer and rule changes for BB2. BB3 beat American Idol in the ratings on wednesday night, its come a long way since the first one.
”

I am going over to California on Friday and am really looking forward to catching some of BB3 over there as it sounds really exciting.

As I mentioned before I caught some last year and thought it was good but so different compared with over here.

Cant wait

C'mon pistachio... we all know drama queens like Alex who will have a migraine before ever they have a headache! I like Alex, but I think the comment is probably right. Alex-headache=migraine.
And from where I am sitting watching Alex, even the headache doesn't look that bad! I wouldn't be holding a conversation about wine with a migraine!

There is no such thing as little or big migraines..
i'm no doctor or gp but i know that a migraine is a severe form of headache which affects vision and can cause naseau and pain...
i have had a migraine and i had to lie down in a dark room for about 3 hours until it subsided and when it did i came down with a feeling of nasea ( i cannot spell this word naseu!!)
The main symptoms for a migraine is eyes sensitive to light, and so i would say that if alex had a migraine he would be in the broom closet.. the perfect place for him!!

A mionor migraine consists of nausea, a tingling feeling, pins and needles, flashing lights etc and the normal headache, just less of everything than a major migraine so you can still function you just feel like sh*t
Whereas a headache just consists of, eh?....a sore head
So there you go, Pistachio's med school strikes again!

I agree. I have had a couple of migraines in my (short) life and they have been so unpleasant I would not even consider being in a bright room, talking to people or eating/drinking. Curling up in bed in a dark room is the best thing possible.

Love the fact that we are discussing migraine symptoms on a BB forum. Thats BB3 for you. So different...........

In a professional capacity (sort of!), I'm EmmaTingay - DS reporter - honest and un-bias as I can possibly be.
As 'Emzi Restalez" - I'm a forum memeber, not even a moderator and a general BB fan. And very able to separate the two!

Yes well, it may look like that but if you were listening you would know that what he is drinking is actually ribena so he didn't feel left out! Jonny suggested it!

Missed the distinction between your official and private opinions.

The "title" though does lead me to expect a little more objectivity from the mob ;o)

I don't want to take this too far off topic but migraine can cover a multitude of evils. It need not always invole headache. I'm unfortunate enough to get a variety of them: everything from thumping headache/photophobia to atypical migrains including severe vertigo. All though last about 24h and leave me feeling like crap for a couple of days.

Would I rather spend a day with a migraine or a day locked in the diary room chatting to Jade?

Difficult choice ;o)

Surprise, suprise! Jonny declined the invitation of the phone-call and being the warm-hearted kind of guy he is insisted that Tim took the call. That nice-guy act is so transparent.
