Transferring PAYG numbers
I have a Vodaphone PAYG number .. I now wish to move to O2 PAYG.. is it possible to keep my older number from vodaphone ?

Yes, this is possible and the reason why number portability was introduced.
Just call Vodafone and ask for a PAC, then quote this PAC to O2. Within a few days your number will transfer. |

beware though - if you change vodafone to o2, and you make a call to an o2 phone (and vice versa) you'll be charged as if it was to a different network. Another way for mobile companies to make money.
