Emmerdale's Steph: Drinking problem?
Did no one notice that Steph spent the best part of the last two weeks topping up her whiskey glass?
But then again with every soap character, whenever they are having a bad week, they run straight to the bottle. It seems the writers forgot all about the beginning of Louise's drinking problem too, but then again, you have to ask who would handle a drink problem better? Pyscho Steph or Lame Louise |

I think every character in soap has drinking problem with the amount of time they spend in the pubs!

I know.
The worst example of that which springs to mind is Dawn from Emmerdale. She was complaining that she couldn't afford to buy TJ any new clothes. She then babysat for someone who gave her £20. So she spent it all in the pub that night

Steph does seem to hit the shorts bottles quite alot, it will be interesting with her current troubles if this were to feature as a storyline

I was hoping they'd turn Louise into a raving drunk, what a waste. Should have followed that story up.
It would be a good idea for Steph, but I'd like her Obsessive Compulsive disorder brought back first... |

It hasn't disappeared, it just isn't showing onscreen but if you watch the episode where she is telling Adam what a nutter she is, she sits down and the camera went to her hands fidgeting but on the table every single magazine was neatly lined up on the table. Her OCD is still going on. Everything has to be immaculate

Yeah I noticed that, but it was the first scene in a long time showing it...I knew they hadn't forgotten about it, just would like to see it featured more.

In Inside Soap, one of the critcs on the back pages said Steph was a rare soap creation. Very unpredictable.
Anything with Steph is plausable; a drink problem, OCD, anger issues, violent outbursts... She's marvellous |

Absolutely, Steph is a soap writers dream being so versatile, and Lorraine just makes it complete with her great acting skills. I look forward to an unpredictable future with Steph

As long as they never get rid of her. If they can keep Eric after he probably killed his wife, then they can keep Steph.

I think with the viewing figures being higher than normal during Steph's storylines prove that Steph is still one of the most popular characters and she happens to be Emmerdale's greatest villain
