Talented lead singer, but unfortunately a total moron.
The Stone Rose's could (should) have been as big as Oasis in the 90's. He refused to play ball with the record company and the band were put out of commission for three or four very important years. He got his act together in the mid 90's writing some of his best material, but by then it was too late, he missed the boat. What a waste of rock talent. |

but he was a bit of an arse at Glastonbury with his flag burning antics - he tried to burn a St George's Cross, when in fact it was a Jersey flag.
And I appreciate the point he was trying to make, I just don't think he needed to do it at Glastonbury. Iain |

Ian Brown is fantastic, his latest album is by far the best of his 'solo' stuff.
Will never regain the heights he had with the Roses though. |

As others have noted... talented musician, but a bit of an arse.
I don't much like his solo-stuff either, seems a bit bland for my liking. |
