Can somebody please shed some light on whether the following rumour is true?...

I have heard little Belle goes missing in December whilst being babysat and falls down a 30ft mine shaft and gets trapped. Daz finds her but then falls in himself. They are rescued and Daz survives but what about Belle? Is this true? I would think the Dingles have suffered enough already.

I've changed my post (I heard slightly wrong, i'm now going by what it says in my TVGuide mag which has the storyline in it)

Daz rescues her!

Anyway I doubt they'd bother totally remaking a character only to kill her off a few weeks later. And they'd be pretty bloody unpopular if they did.

I'm hoping the producers don't kill her off too (she's a sweetheart).

As for Emily Mather who originally portrayed Belle, she was let go for one simple reason. She couldn't act, which was to be expected really as Emily was only ever meant to portray Belle as a baby and not a character. The producers realised this and just decided to merely keep her around so that the audience would know Belle was still around although she never really did anything when she was anyway and this was due to Emily being both incredibly shy and not really having any decent acting skills to boot. They needed somebody who could actually act for the upcoming major storyline involving the character so she was recast by a little pal of mine, Eden Taylor Draper.

Obviously I know Eden who now plays Belle and I can tell you that based on my humble opinion, she is a very good little actress indeed. She attends the drama school I work at and has starred in many TV adverts and stage productions before landing the role of Belle. I am going to make it my mission to try to find out from her mother next week what happens because the little brat won't tell me.

Rhinestone, what TV guide did you get this from? I got mine from the Mirror which mentioned the bit about a 30 foot mineshaft, and Daz falling in after her.

It's just a magazine called "TVGuide" and they have a page devoted to the storyline in it.

It literally just says "TVGuide" as the title, it's an actual magazine, not a paper pullout.

Was what you originally posted about Belle wandering into a mineshaft and it caving in, printed in the mag? Cause the Mirror version is slightly different to that.

Well that's what I first heard but this TOTAL TVGuide mag (you were right Intosoap!) fairs slightly different. As for the mag, it's about 2 weeks old (lol) and it has a picture of Billie Piper, Damian Lewis and Sarah Parish on the front if that helps. I have like the last 6 magazines still.

Look out for it in your local newsagent (it's by far the best TVGuide around). They are bound to cover it again in some fashion when it comes closer to the episodes airing in December.

I would suggest you try looking at Google. I typed in TOTAL TV guide and guess what, it is issued by the "Take a break" mob.
Doing this would have saved a lot of grief!

And a lot of wasted space on a Belle Dingle thread.

They have just changed the person who plays Belle, only been in a handful of episodes.

Everybody in here knows Belle is now played by another actress, what's your point? I've already posted the information above. Try actually bothering to scroll up next time and read past posts.
