Who Are We To Criticise: Have WE Gone To Far?

Many people have just laid into the series at every posible turn in this forum. We're losing sight of a good television programme, a piece of fun. The producers are producing a fun, entertaining show, that earns record ratings. Some ppl are all but calling for houesmates to be lynched, producers to sacked....

WHO ARE WE? We're slightly sad BB fanatics, some of us are so far up our own asses we think we own the show and have the right to stipulate how it should be ran.

Well, people who claim to loathe this biased, false, unexciting and disappointing series with dreadful housemates: you're still here aren't you?

You're still watching.

Well im hooked and I dont mind admitting it. Its flawed but its great telly. For some, this forum seems to be a way of getting rid of pent up aggression.

Yep, cant argue with that. NO matter how mad we get at BB, we are still here watching it.

Are we though?

I just realised that I watched a total of one C4 recap show and no E4 at all last week after the task cock-up last week. I tuned into the show last night just to see PJ had been evicted and I didn't bother tuning in for the actual eviction.

Sure it's just a TV show, but I think we have a right to be annoyed when the tasks are clearly ill-thought-out and not enough care has been put into it.

Tonight's task learnt from the mistakes of last week, but it was hard'y riveting TV was it?

Yeah, no matter what we say, it's all a bit of fun choosing your Big Brother heros and villans! I don't think any of them are bad people in real life. But BB isn't real life...

The housemates volenteered to put themselves into the Big Brother house so we can scrutinise them...and scutinise them we shall!

Hear, hear...that is precisely why BB is such a success, it satisfies our need to watch other peoples lives. Whether it is peering through our curtains into the people in the street outside, or watching human behaviour in a test tube as in BB. Most of the fun of BB comes from discussing it with other people...like on these forums.

On the contrary, I no longer watch CH4 unless something of interest has been discussed on the forum. Trouble is with the biased editting you cannot guarantee that it will be shown. Jonny's mask slipping the other night being a prime example.

I couldn't agree more. It wouldn't be that bad if the posts were a little sensible and well thought-out, instead of the usual c**p of hating someone one minute, liking them the next. We are not in a place to criticise the housemates really, in fact I criticise the posters more!!! I daresay a few failed wannabes are in our midst!!
