Tales Of The City DVD

Has anyone else bought the new 'Tales Of The City' DVD? I just got mine today and am shocked at the picture quality! It's so grainy, like something from early Channel 5 (OK, maybe a slight exaggeration - but certainly of a lesser quality than you'd expect)! Can't actually remember now how it looked when it went out on Channel 4 back in 1993 (although I remember 'More Tales Of The City' appearing a little bleached out but that was a completely different production) but I can't believe it was as poor as this and that Channel 4 didn't think it could do with a bit of a remaster. Very poor.

I've got Tales of the City and More Tales of the City on VHS from when they originally came out and both are fine. Probably a problem with the master copy.
