I must admit that Kates story appalled me. I hope she sits down with her family to find what they thought about ' two of the guys were fighting each other, were covered in blood coz they wanted to be, in front of families etc etc'.
Classy story ! And as others have said Jonny must've been wondering if his Bournemouth colleagues are ever going to be cutting Kate and her friends out of a car in the future.
Don't get me wrong - I've done similar things in my twenties but I'd be telling the story as an admission of how STUPID it is to get that drunk not revel in it.

Yes Dougaz ..she did ..she stated that they had ALL been drinking for the whole of the previous day and night then decided to go out for breakfast to mcdonalds after only 3 hours sleep ...she did not say who drove then ..but stated that they came back from breakfast carried ON drinking then decided to go to a pub for dinner .she clearly stated the guy who's car it was let HER drive ..and that they crammed 7 fully grown men into the back ....they were thrown out of the pub they went to ...then thrown out of a restaurant for having a "mayonaise fight " and finally ended up at another pub where two of the guys had a row and the car driver drove home ...another two of these guys had a fight and were bleeding and kate thought it was funny that families out for sunday dinner were staring at them wiht looks of horror ...

For clarification, Kate stated that she was the driver and stopped and corrected herself about how much she'd been drinking and basically said she wasn't drunk at all, unlike everyone else in the car.

The point of her story was not really how big and clever it was to get drunk and have silly fights with each other. It was about how crazy and stupid but at the same time fun the crowd she was with was...and how quickly they'd gone from being strangers to knowing each other because of how intense the experience was.

I don't know how drunk Kate may have been as a driver and I deplore anyone drinking AT ALL and driving, but based on Kate's account, she wasn't drunk....a lot of people think that when they drive I know, but we only have her word on the whole story.

As for the fighting, Kate wasn't approving, just reporting, and to make a point that these guy's were nuts.

She said she was driving, and she wasn't pissed, but later she was talking about them being in a restaurant, and a guy ripped his pants, and him and his friend drove back to the house to get changed, and they were drunk. Her story doesn't really surprise me, but I suppose it probably wasn't the best thing to start telling everyone.

She clearly stated before she "changed her mind" that they were all completely drunk .

I stand corrected on the reason the two guys with the car drove up ..it was indeed because he had ripped his pants

And whatever Kates reason for telling the story it hardly puts her in a good light ...

Why does her telling events that happened put her in a bad light? I agree that she'd said they were all drunk, but then corrected herself when she said she was driving which could either have been because "we were all drunk" was an exageration, or because she realised how stupid it was to admit to drunk driving even when telling a story...

I admit that the events were rather childish and stupid, but that was Kate's point after all....

I admit that the other people who drove back may well have been drunk and hence this was a VERY stupid thing, and also probably not a wise thing for her to recount on TV...

I admit that it wouldn't have increased her popularity because it wasn't really that much about her except that she was there with these people...but does it really reflect so badly on her?

Haven't we all been in a crowd that has done stupid things at some point, and haven't we all then told that story as it's interesting even for being stupid?

your right on most things above but as I explained at the start of my thread Kate was my favourite but her telling that story certainly affected the way *I * felt about her ...I simply dont believe she was the only one who wasnt drunk ..and no way can I vote for someone who drink drives ...(lost my gran to a drunk driver).
I also didnt relish the way she kept going on about families watching them ...I simply think it was a bad story to tell full stop and it changed "my" opinion of her

Must admit, it did nothing to endear her to me either, but as a stupid story about events which seemed mad to her and hence worth repeating it didn't come over as bad enough to me to really change my own peception of her...she's young and stupid at times, but we knew that already from the antics in the house...she remains my fav to win as Alex is the only next choice I find now and he's just too dull/confined in his thinking in my view to merit winning....I want my BB winners to have some spark about them that makes them stand out...of the 14 this year, Spencer had that most and Kate is my 2nd choice...I thought Jonny had it but he just seems to have a venier of wackyness that doesn't go too deep...so I'm left with Kate still...despite her flaws.

I thought Spencer was great .He may have been quiet but he knew when to have fun too and I think if he'd been in the house a lot of the tension would have been disolved .He struck me as a guy who was totally at ease with himself

she said they'd been drinking all night, the others were absolutely smashed.
she didn't say she wasn't drunk though.

Kate seems to enjoy the company of morons, two naked strangers whipping eachother in your company isn't most peoples char.

I can't remember her exact words when she corrected herself about being drunk when driving but she stumbled something like:

"..well I wasn't really drunk as I'm a light weight and I'd wasn't really drinking much"

...this doesn't mean she wasn't drink driving, but she seemed to say that she'd been drinking but wasn't drunk....a common misconception with drink drivers I know, but as the whole story was from her point of view we can hardly choose which bits to beleive just to villify her? The whole thing could equally have been exagerated...it would be different if we had independent evidence of the events...

alright i'll give her the benefit this time, just a slap on the wrists.
I think she made most of it up anyway.
