29 Albert Square was last inhabited by Ian Beale when the house was adjoined to 27 (the Millers' house). He lost the house when he went bankrupt and moved to a flat behind the chip shop.

I thought it was the house that Zoe & Dennis bought when they were together.

I'm all confused - what happened to the house that Steve Owen lived in, as did Joe Wicks and his mum and David Wicks?

I thought that was the flat Laura lived in, which was the one she tumbled down the stairs from??

And who is living in Dennis and Sharon's old flat then??

Let's face it. It's the same studio set used for different families. LOL

Ian owned 27(the millers) & 29(the rickmans) untill he went bank rupt. At the time Laura was just his nanny.

This is the first time in EastEnders 20 year history that every house in that row of houses (23 - 31) has been fully occupied !

The focus has moved very much onto the square now. All the lead characters excluding Joe Macer and Honey Edwards currently live somewhere on Albert Square.

I've always found EE to not care so much about where people live and for it not to be a part of the storyline, so it's nice to see a street bustling with characters (even if half of them are on their way out ). Soaps like Corrie and Neighbours have always been focused on this, and it's fun to recall who has lived in which houses, something you can't do with EE or Emmerdale as they're focused on the community rather than a street.
